My bro passed Saturday morning (Evidently not: see #66)

Thank you to everyone who prayed for my bro Jim. He passed Saturday morning.

His one wish was to go camping one more time. He did that one week prior to passing. He spoke to another friend Friday afternoon and told her he was doing good. He felt good. His pain was minimal. The next morning he was gone.

Please keep his family in your prayers. He was so young.

One thing that helped when I lost my mother & grandmother was trying to remember that they are in heaven where there is no more suffering, and they are reunited with loved ones who have passed before them. It is only us left behind who feel the loss and sadness...

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. I pray that our Heavenly Father will comfort you and that you will be able to find some enjoyment in your brother’s being able to go camping one last time.

Several years ago my step-dad (who was a riverboat captain on the Mississippi) always said he’d be happy if he died while he was on his boat. On another occasion he said he’d die happy if he was fishing.

On the day he died he and his first engineer were sitting on the edge of a barge which had been tied up in Greenville, Mississippi. They were fishing.

Even though we were shocked at his unexpected heart attack, we were also glad that he got his wish about being on his boat and also fishing. We were just thankful he was under way and in the wheelhouse.

I’m sorry you lost your brother, Traci. I’ve lost two brothers. Siblings are tough not that other losses are easier, believe me.
