Prayer request for Jim

Dear Freepers; I spoke with my friend John today. He has a niegbor, Jim, who has faced and fought a long and difficult siege from a cancer. I am not sure which type it is...it does not matter. He has been fighting for his life a long, long time. He is hanging on for his life but he is weak. He is a good man. His wife and those around him like his good niegbor, John, have been been doing everything they can for him. I don't know if he has a family other than his wife, I didn't ask, but if he does I ask that you brothers and sisters pray for this man and those around him. I ask that you pray for the Grace of God to rain down strength for them all, the cared for and the care givers.

I pray that your prayers lay seige to that which lays seige to him. As a Catholic, I pray that Our Blessed Mother hold him and all those around him close to her bosom and petition the Risen Lord for the enegry, strength, patience, compassion and courage needed to sustain in this terrible and hard struggle. I pray that God the Father send healing hope and love to this group of people, family and Samaritan Nieghbors, standing firm for thiers who is stricken. Let them have peace and as much joy as they can as they go about thier giving of themselves for this one that they love. Let the True Love shine upon Jim and those around him.

These prayer threads really work. I asked for prayer a year ago when I was having a surgical procedure done, and I believe at least one prayer warrior was praying up a storm, because as I was driving to the hospital, I felt the strongest urge to begin singing "Ave Maria" - it was like a compulsion that I had to give in to - I truly believe it was because someone was praying earnestly for me at that time.

Our Holy Father in Heaven, Creator of the Universe, we thank You for
this day and all of our many blessing.We thank You for our most
important blessing- our Lord and Savour Jesus Christ who died for our
sins. We ask for forgivenenss of our sins. We ask that you guide us
in accordence with your will. We pray for the cure of the terrible
disease Cancer. There are many people working on it all over the

Jim passed away this weekend.

Your prayers consoled the people around him and most especially his wife.

What a beautiful thing that a board such as this can touch so many lives.
