Is that Pamela Des Barres? I remember when she posed in Playboy. She looked like one of my mom’s hot friends...

Crumb is probably the most un-PC comic artist of the post-war era. Probably stemmed from his spending the early part of his childhood in a North Philadelphia neighborhood that had “changed.”

Remember that The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test was written by lifelong Republican (and Bush defender) Tom Wolfe.

Zappa was a cool dude. How can you hate a guy who mocked Jesse Jackson and wrote a song called “My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama.”

Wow! They’re saying that the 60’s counter-culture slammed the door on the upward mobility of blacks in America.

For anyone who lived in New York from the late-1960s until the early 1990s, the tension between BoHo whites and their black and Latino neighbors was very clear. On very few occasions, however, would it lead to violence.

Lets say you're some schlepp with a ninth grade education bouncing between welfare and low-level retail jobs, and all of a sudden you are confronted with these affluent white kids thinking that it is "cool" to live in a slum neighborhood with trust fund money (Trustafarians, as I called them). You would feel quite resentful as well.

What memories! Roger Daltrey clobbering Abbie Hoffmann with a guitar as he tried to take the stage at Woodstock...

I wasn't there, but know people who were.

Enjoying this documentary. As a 55 y/o grandfather today, it serves as a reminder- "There but for the grace of God goes I"

Oh, there's Denniss Hopper in "Easy Rider."

I wish he would just go away. I'm so sick of baby boomers!
