Sunday morning at three minutes and four seconds after 2 a.m., it will be exactly 02:03:04 05/06/07. And if you find that so astounding that you won't be able to sleep until you've experienced this once-in-a-century sequence, you are, in case you didn't know … a nerd.
A numbers nerd, that is. No shame in that — I'm one, too. (Hey: one, too. Cool numbers are everywhere.) Folks like us find it hard not to shout, "Look! It's 12:34!" Even 2:34 is sweet, as are 1:23, 3:45, and of course 4:56. And when it's 11:11 — well, it just doesn't get much better than that.

I always insert mathmatical notation between the numbers so they form an equation.
The time is 9:00. As easy equation is (9 * 0 = 0). Now it’s 9:01, which is (9^0=1).
Do you get excited when your odometer reaches 66666.6?
And when it’s 11:11 — well, it just doesn’t get much better than that.

I was at a lacrosse game on Sunday, and just had to say “hey, look” when the score board read 11:11 [remaining] and a score of 11 - 4. Another 4 on the board for 4th quarter rounded out the symmetry.

Have to add that time was stopped on those numbers, it didn’t just click by.
While this particular set: 02:03:04 05/06/07 is rare, the theme is not. Next we’ll have 03:04:05 06/07/08, and a similar data point every year.
Note: The sequence 11-44 is not symmetric, although something like 12:21 is.

No, it will be (was) 2:03.04 on 5/6/2007. We don't generally put zeroes in front of those numbers, and why subtract 2000 from the year?
Further, this isn't really that "cool" because, why are the quantities written in that order? Hours minutes seconds days months years? Wouldn't small-to-big or big-to-small be more logical? But then you'd have
2007-05-06, 2:03.04
or
4 sec 3 min 2 hr, 6th day 5th month of 2007
neither of which is that cool.
