"Friel will join co-hosts Kelly Wright and Greg Kelly in anchoring the morning program this Saturday and Sunday from 7-10AM/ET. In addition, Friel will be a correspondent for Foxnews.com."

Here's her bio. She was recently a correspondent for KPSB, the CBS affiliate in Palm Springs. I was shocked this morning to see Kiren Chetri anchoring CNN's "amerikan morning".

On the February 15, 2007, Chetry was notified by Fox News, via letter to her agent, that her contract would not be renewed. The letter claimed she demanded "that Fox News include a clause in her new agreement that would have been detrimental to other Fox News talent".[1] The next day Fox News informed her that they did not intend to exercise a matching right in her deal and that she would be free to leave before the expiration of her existing contract. She exercised that right.

On February 16, 2007, Chetry began work as a CNN anchor and correspondent.

I hope you are kidding. I saw her last weekend with Greg and Kelly and I thought they finally had a good weekend team.

Just put Rudi on 24/7 and I would be happy.

She's beautiful (and appears to be a sweet person too).

Wonder what that clause contained?

Couldn't stand her when she did the late night news that come on every hour, but really got to like her doing the morning shows.

Very sorry to hear she's at CNN. I think Chris Knowles is her husband. Wonder if he's still at Fox?

Kiran's out. So what? She's a silly lib.

Bring Laurie Dhue on. Utilize Catherine Herridge more. Brains and beauty, both.

I thought I just saw him last week on Fox. It caught my attention because I haven't seen him in quite awhile. Maybe it was another channel and I just assumed it was Fox. Either way, I'll miss Kiran. I like her and didn't think she was at all liberal.

Thank you for letting me know, I hadn't heard that. I hate to hear she "demanded" anything but I agree with her. I wish she was in Gretchen's place. Gretchen seems like a nice lady but I've always liked Kiran. She's too good for CNN. (I'm blaming this on her agent being a jerk, not Kiran)

It's being said that Kiran's agent made this demand without her knowledge...obvious attempt to save face for her.and she was axed the next day..

I see - a prima donna?

I just noticed your tag line. On face value I really like Rudy and have always liked Newt. I think we need someone that has the strength these two have to cut through junk and get things done. I don't agree with Rudy's social beliefs so I'm in a quandry. At present, I think it's necessary to vote for the strongest on the issue of terrorism and the rest will have to be put on the back burner. Maybe I'll be saved from a decision and a really strong conservative will come along that I can happily cast my vote for (I personally think Tony Snow would fit that bill).

Dead bang on target. Courtney Friel is a dead zone of repartee. She is a great advertisement for dental refacing, though.
To those who don't care for Gretchen Carlson, give her a chance. She has a comfortable personality and a self-effacing wit which grows on you. She seems quite genuine.

i have found it incredibly uncomfortable watching last weekend and this AM. For one thing, Greg Kelly is having a hard time keeping his tongue from lolling out of his mouth and it is very unbecoming. i feel embarrassed for them all. i have been able to watch F&F throughtout the Mike-Julia-Julian days, alisyn camerata/kiran/kelly days with no problems. i cannot watch this woman, she is painfully dim.
