What has the War on Terror accomplished? For the U.S., all sides debate this. From the Iraqi side, probably not so much debate from unbiased sources.
Consulting the World Fact Book (put out by the CIA, an unassailable source given that Valerie Plame used to work there), a lot of Iraqi's have NOT died during the WOT.
The Iraqi death rate per 1,000 in the year 2000 was 6.4. As of 2006, the death rate was 5.37. We are in the year 2007 which suggests that nearly 165,000 Iraqis are still alive compared to what would have been the case under Saddam, Usay and Qusay. (The population in Iraq was 26MM during the period in question.)
But, the libs can only focus on the 3,000 volunteer U.S. troops who've been murdered by the Iranians and other insurgent troops. Poor idiots that the libs are, they are our idiots and we must deal with them.
Unfortunately, probably 160,000 of that 165,000 are Muslim and see us as kafir.
No good deed goes unpunished.
The Brits were correct: The Arab is either at your feet or at your throat. Better he be at your feet.
