I really hope someday the league moves the Super Bowl (and maybe this day as well) to Saturday. Then we don't have to worry about getting to bed at a somewhat decent hour.
That is my main concern, the defense has to show up.. We shall see...
I like Shannon Shape's line that Arthur Blank (Falcons owner & from Home Depot founder) did not know the difference between a screen pass and a screen porch.
My father told me that he got a lot against Pittsburgh. That worked out just as well as it did against Miami and Oakland.
Defense WILL show up. They are hungry.
The first one I remember was Super Bowl VIII. The Dolphins over the ViQueens.
If that happens then they might be able to help the offense out by forcing some TO's.
They had some great teams in the early 60s (they beat the Giants for the NFL title in '63 after going 11-2-1), but they weren't good again until .....around '84.
I found it interesting going into a Home Depot this week a noticing their "zero drug use" policy. I guess that doesn't apply to all of Blank's employees.
I remember Tarkenton hosted saturday night live a few weeks after that game....he was pretty good at that.
The end is near.
People are stunned when I tell them the biggest blowout in NFL history occured during a title game.
I love those commercials unfortunately VW's dont last after 90,000 miles.
One of my all time favorite Super Bowl stats. The Dolphins only attempted 7 passes that day. Now that's domination.
I agree.. I have a good feeling about the game...
Or they could play the NFC and AFC championship games on the day before MLK day that way we can sleep in the next day.
