The "U" part of "UFO" frequently refers to aircrafts well known to man. All it means is that American ground control doesn't have the transponder data.

He didn't see no star to wish on in this part of the universe. Took a beeline for greener pastures....

Nah... He caught a glimpse of the "smartest woman in the universe" and had to head straight for the bathroom to avoid staining his on-board rug! ;-P

Maybe the space aliens will take one look at our national politics and decide we're ripe for invasion, hehehe.

In that several pilots, who usually are trained to be calm and quick-thinking, supposedly witnessed the UFO (or whatever the new name is), I doubt that any were panicking like a crime victim. Unless, of course, a Romulan disruptor was pointing at them--then I'd understand why not one single person out of a dozen, over a period of several minutes thought to snap a picture with their cellphone.

Where's a teen with a cell when you need one?

more than 100- i am one of the few here on FR who SAW THE VIDEO ON TV of a missile rising up and hitting the blane just before a huge blast in the sky.

It was shown once, then never seen again, and, curiously, no one at the networks seems to remember airing the tape.

Of course this was when Clintoon was president and even someone as lowly as an intern had to worry about 'arkancide'...

Interesting that no one could find a camera or a camera-cellphone at an airport.

Good point.

the various medieval artwork with objects in the sky is about as eerie as anything else I have seen, particularly as it deals with known artwork of a fairly definitive pre-industrial date of origin with some of the same sorts of objects described more recently by (ridiculed) witnesses.

i bet airport/tarmac workers are not allowed to carry a camera on the job (secure area), not sure though.

something I have not seem mentioned here but bears considering is that people inside the airport (i.e. passengers) which some here point out DO carry cameras, would probably not be in a position to see anything at approx 1500 ft. above gate C17. Think about having to crane your neck to see the top of a building taller than the WTC towers, and have yourself inside with limited window angles , and it doesn't seem likely that anyone inside the o'hare airport would have been able to see that high right over c concourse.

I think one side of E concourse is the only place people MIGHT have been able to see 1500 feet above C concourse, IF they put their face on the glass and looked almost straight up.

The big ship's coming for Farakan, though I would have thought it would have settled over Midway. It's closer to his South Side base.
