"The new pope is even more conservative than the old one. He has compared homosexuality to mental illness, she said.
Last weekend she travelled to Italy and hooked up with some friends, who agreed to pose for a photograph.
I have a lot of friends in Italy and decided that it felt right to do the photo shoot in Rome. For this exhibition I have been very inspired by baroque paintings. They are scary to see. Also it is interesting to play with the lighting and add in extra details, said Ohlson Wallin.
She found a nice calm square for the photo session and arranged the shot.
In the photo the girl is raped by two jack-booted Nazis wearing swastikas on their sleeves. In the background six red-robed cardinals look on, clutching at their visible erections."

Subtle. Profound. Textured and many-layered. This is truly high art.
"He has compared homosexuality to mental illness.."
Seems she's helping prove his point.
If she truly wanted to make a statement, she should have had herself photographed getting her genitals mutilated (female circumcision) by Arabs wearing djellabas and surgical masks while six Imams and a Mufti looked on with visible erections.
if you want to turn on the lights,...
you need a plug.
Just like a 3 yr. old throwing a tantrum hoping Mommy or Daddy will notice her.
Still no riots.

Her past collection, one mentioned in the article, is much more controversial. Apparently John Paul II canceled his audience with the Swedish archbishop when the bishop allowed the exhibit. Many of those images (they're online) seem relatively benign (clothed, apparent homosexuals reaching out to a Christ figure) but a Transfiguration featuring an aroused figure? That shocks my sensibilities.
One other problem, the "artist" says this is drawn upon the Church turning a blind eye to Hilter. That's a myth which has been debunked.
Tell a lie often enough, loud enough it becomes the truth.
L
Idiot. It says homosexuality is a grave disorder in the Catechism. It's not a personal opinion of this pope.
The "artist" accuses the Church of hate against homos when it was homosexuals who invaded the priesthood who have caused the problems of today's Church. The Church's fault was in protecting the rapist, homosexual priests instead of turning them over to authorities.
As much as I disagree with catholicism, this twit crossed the line from sensible debate to outrage in a split second shutter click.
If she believes that, in the face of all the evidence to the contrary, then she's willfully ignorant, as well as immature.
Chastity and homosexuality 2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,140 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."141 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved. 2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition. 2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.
