Hit reply to me and a box comes up. At the bottom of the box, you will see another box that says tagline. Type what you want into the box and hit post.

The next time you reply to a post you will see a Tagline field. Just fill that in and the system will remember it until you change it.

Post #5 is the key. The FreeRepublic server software remembers whatever "Tagline" you most recently used in posting a reply, and automatically copies it on all future replies, until you over type it, while posting a reply comment with some new pearl of wisdom.
