They were at Abbey Road recording "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" at the same time the Beatles were in the next room recording Sgt. Pepper.

Seemed to be a bit more evolved spiritually than most folks. What a sweet soul.

Really, really, really cool stuff. Sir George Martin was the perfect producer for the Beatles.
To: mcg2000
Maybe a lil' upset of the album being released the same day as Oasis' Greatest Hits? It's especially funny considering that Oasis is one of the most derivative Beatles bands there ever was.

Wow! If we all pull
together as a team we
can make these "Beatles"
bigger than Jesus!
I bet the young girls will love
that, what's-his-name, Paul . . .
To: mcg2000
It's extremely good--bought it yesterday. Sounds very crisp
and well merged together.
To: sarasota

There must be synchronicity working today.
I just past the Gwinnett Arena on my way home (it's 5 miles from my house) and the Who are playing there tonight, LOL!

There must be synchronicity working today. Now, now, I wasn't talking about The Police - and the best drummer in rock history, Stewart Copeland (sorry, Keith).

Damn right. What these lads need is haircuts.
I'll stick with Perry Como and Mitch Miller, thank you very much. Now that's real music.

I've listened to it but haven't yet bought it. It's a big yawner. Anybody with a reasonably respectable Beatles MP3 collection and a $40 computer program (Goldwave) could have created this album. There is frankly nothing new or imaginative. Not only that, the remixes detract from the originals. I agree with an earlier poster who said that this music would likely work well in the context of the show, but fails to stand on its own as an album. All the hype is nothing more than yet another McCartney/Ono Christmas money grab.

My understanding is that Pete Best was paid about $5,000,000 for the rights to include his drumming/visage in the Beatles Anthology series.
