The pundits seem to think that it is conventional wisdom that Don Rumsfeld is on his way out.
The races in VA, MO, and MT are not looking very good either.
If that pans out and we lose the Senate by one vote, I think Joe Lieberman would make an excellent Secretary of Defense.
Then the fine governor of Connecticut, the Republican Jodi Rell, could appoint a replacement.
That might make mad Harry's head explode...

That's completely ridiculous; not to mention STUPID! Ain't gonna happen; especially since he just won back his seat.
Why would he give up the seat he just won for another six years for a position in a lame duck Republican administration that could only last a maximum of two years?
