not just italian...sicilian
we're slightly better :)
I've never seen panties in a Gordian knot before - pretty amusing
And that's l'ultima parola :)
thank you, you intellegent soul!!!
she makes SOUP. I can make SOUP.
And what is so hard about saying "salt and pepper?"
I watch rachel ray, i feel like its a cooking class
for preschoolers.
and people compare her to martha stewart!?
stew in a pan... an empire with merchandise... wow
I think its insulting they put her on the show. For weeks I looked forward to her looking ridiculous. Are we sure she'll know how to use big words with the other real chefs??
ever noticed (30 min meals) that many of the recipies call for a million ingredients?
I picture her taking regular breaks to induce vomiting after daring to taste her food.
lol lol
My mom swears that she vomits all her food!
LOL
Yes we are!
I agree - "Barefoot Contessa" is tops with me. I've never seen her express her politics on her cooking show, however.
Her husband Jeffrey is a big Yale President and they are libs. I have seen her name on the donation list to Kerry. But she does not spew her venom on the public.
Well, not President of Yale; he was the dean of the business school for several years and is still on the faculty there. I can't think of anyone who seems less venomous than Ina Garten. :)
It's not her per se, it's that she's so vastly unqualified to do a food show.... I've seen some of her stuff and it is incredibly pedestrian.... like she's taking a big chance to eat a hot dog at a baseball game, or her brilliant travel tip on how to find a good local restaurant: ask a local!!! Wow.
Personally I'm a fan of Tony Bourdain and his show and books (or even that chef who did the one-episode "Bizarre Foods Of Asia" for Travel Channel), and when I compare them to Rachael Ray it is simply pathetic.
I do wish Bourdain would put more food into his show and less travel, less chit chat. When he whipped up a lamb and rice dish for his crew while being bombed in Beruit last summer, he was doing what Tony Bourdain does best.
Who won?
Rachel Ray and Martin Batali.
Thanks.
Gee, I'm watching RR cooking lamb and polenta tonight and she is downright depressed--no ring...is this an old episode? Never seen her perform with so little animation.
I like a cook, Man or Woman that cooks and
looks with class and style, really I think
if that's what the afternoon viewers might
want to watch.. plenty of frumpy to dumpy's
on other channels networks besides, I suspect
viewers wouldn't mind.
