Prayer bump, and thank you for this thread.

Here is THE most crucial issue on the ballot, in my opinion.

Prayer Target: S. Dakota -- Abortion Law on Nov. 7 Ballot ("As S. Dakota Goes, So Goes the Nation")

I'm just going to vote (all ballots are mail in now where I live).

Lord God, have mercy on America and turn our hearts to Your laws, Your ways, to know and support the candidates who will fulfill Your will for our nation, especially the judges.

May the voice of God never be silenced in our land. Pray for God's strength in our leaders and wisdom for the voters.

Please pray for the Ohio elections on Tuesday. We have a Godly man in Ken Blackwell who is running against a pro-gay leftist in disguise Strickland.

We also have a strong pro-lifer in Mike DeWine being challenged for the Senate by an extreme leftist, pro-PBA Sherrod Brown.

These are matters of deep concern to all moral, pro-life Ohioans.

Please pray specifically for us, and our strong GOTV effort in the coming days, that Christians will be moved by the Holy Spirit to vote for our pro-life, pro-family, pro-morality candidates.

THANK YOU!

I am praying with deep fervency!! May this nation honor God, and may HIS will be done!

2Ch 7:12 And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said to him: I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.

2Ch 7:13 If I shut up heaven so no rain falls, or if I command locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people,

2Ch 7:14 If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

Dear Lord, turn our hearts toward You.

Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me.

Psa 51:11 Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me.

Psa 51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Psa 51:13 Then will I teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted and return to You.

Dear Lord, it is so easy to get caught up in the emotions, the stresses, and the fears of election day. Help us to remember that whatever the outcome, we trust You and know that:

Rom 8:28 We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

Amen and thank You, Lord.

Holy Father,

We exalt Your mighty Name and pray that as Your people, we would honor You with the choices we make on election day. Lord, call forth every informed and enlightened voter who will make wise decisions based upon Your truth and Your laws. We pray for Your favor for Ohio's Mike DeWine and Ken Blackwell, asking You to honor them for their pro-life stand. Father, we pray on behalf of the unborn that no supporter of abortion would be elected to any office. We ask You to fill the halls of our Congress and Senate with men and women of God who will faithfully execute the laws of this nation and who will serve with justice and integrity. Hear our prayer for our beloved America, Lord. Continue to bless us, Father, and do not remove Your hand of favor from us. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

O you who turn justice to wormwood,
and cast down righteousness to the earth!
He who made the Pleiades and Orion,
and turns deep darkness into the morning,
and darkens the day into night,
who calls for the waters of the sea,
and pours them out upon the surface of the earth,
the LORD is his name,
who makes destruction flash forth against the strong,
so that destruction comes upon the fortress.

They hate him who reproves in the gate,
and they abhor him who speaks the truth.

For I know how many are your transgressions,
and how great are your sins --
you who afflict the righteous,
who take a bribe, and turn aside the needy in the gate.

Seek good, and not evil, that you may live;
and so the LORD, the God of hosts,
will be with you, as you have said.
Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate.

Amos 5: 7-10, 12, 14-15a

O Lord, hear our prayers. So much is at stake. Guard our nation, and uncover the wrongs done pretending to be good, and the good prevented by those who call it bad.

Touch the hearts of your faithful, and may we vote as you will this election.

Amen.

Evening prayer ping!

Our Mighty God,

Make Bare Your Arm for our America, O Lord, O You Who are our Light. Our Land has Become Darkened through Sin, but You are Able to Cast the Darkness Away. Come and Save us, Your Majesty, that we Fall not into Just Judgement. May the Leaders that Practice Evil be Purged from Office, and Godly Men Arise in their Place. You are our Only Hope, King Jesus, our Only Protection and Peace. Our Merciful Master, Do Mighty Things, that we may Marvel, and Give You Fervent Praise!

"Praise the Lord!
I will thank the Lord with all my heart
As I meet with his godly people.
How amazing are the deeds of the Lord!
All who delight in him should ponder them.
Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty.
His righteousness never fails.
He causes us to remember his wonderful works.
How gracious and merciful is our Lord!
He gives food to those who fear him;
He always remembers his covenant.
He has shown his great power to his people
By giving them the lands of other nations.
All he does is just and good,
And all his commandments are trustworthy.
They are forever true,
To be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.
He has paid a full ransom for his people.
He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever.
What a holy, awe-inspiring name he has!
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.
All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.
Praise him forever!" (Ps.111)

Our Lord, Fill our America with Mercies, with Grace Upon Grace Upon Grace. Stir Up the Spirits of Thy People, our Shepherd, that they will Run to the Polls. Forgive us our Sins, O Father our King, and Fill us with Reverance for Thy Name. Pour Your Lovingkindness Upon us, as we Pray in our Savior's Name, amen.

We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing

We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing;
he chastens and hastens his will to make known;
the wicked oppressing now cease from distressing:
sing praise to his Name, he forgets not his own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
ordaining, maintaining his kingdom divine;
so from the beginning the fight we were winning:
thou, Lord, wast at our side: all glory be thine!

We all do extol thee, thou leader triumphant,
and pray that thou still our defender wilt be.
Let thy congregation escape tribulation:
thy Name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

May it be, Merciful Father, that the Spirit of Truth would sweep across our beloved land, falling upon the people as we consider those who will lead this nation in these perilous times. Bring forth only those candidates who bear witness to the Truth of Your Word, that they be worthy under shepherds of Your work on this earth. Bless every one who stands in the gap for the unborn ... may they overcome by Your Grace. Bless every one who believes that Your Word contains the laws of truth and justice ... may they prevail. Bless every one who seeks to liberate and not dominate ... may they have good success. Raise up the Godly, O God, and put asunder the ungodly ... let righteousness rule and reign.

May it be thus, O Lord, may it be thus, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen ...

I have been praying without ceasing for this election for weeks now, praying that the outcome will move our nation closer to the Lord and His commandments. May the Holy Spirit move in the hearts of our people, showing them the truth and leading them to vote for those candidates who are pro-life and who stand for family values and morality.

To: Kitty Mittens; All

"For my strength is made perfect in weakness."
- 2 Corinthians 12:9

A primary qualification for serving God with any amount of success, and
for doing God's work well and triumphantly, is a sense of our own
weakness. When God's warrior marches forth to battle, strong in his own
might, when he boasts, "I know that I shall conquer, my own right arm and
my conquering sword shall get unto me the victory," defeat is not far
distant. God will not go forth with that man who marches in his own
strength. He who reckoneth on victory thus has reckoned wrongly, for "it
is not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts."
They who go forth to fight, boasting of their prowess, shall return with
their gay banners trailed in the dust, and their armour stained with
disgrace. Those who serve God must serve him in his own way, and in his
strength, or he will never accept their service. That which man doth,
unaided by divine strength, God can never own. The mere fruits of the
earth he casteth away; he will only reap that corn, the seed of which was
sown from heaven, watered by grace, and ripened by the sun of divine love.
God will empty out all that thou hast before he will put his own into
thee; he will first clean out thy granaries before he will fill them with
the finest of the wheat. The river of God is full of water; but not one
drop of it flows from earthly springs. God will have no strength used in
his battles but the strength which he himself imparts.
Are you mourning over your own weakness? Take courage, for there must be
a consciousness of weakness before the Lord will give thee victory.
Your emptiness is but the preparation for your being filled, and your
casting down is but the making ready for your lifting up.

"When I am weak then am I strong,
Grace is my shield and Christ my song."

5 solas!

Morning Election Prayer Ping!

With what shall I come before the LORD,
and bow myself before God on high?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
with calves a year old?
Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams,
with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
Shall I give my first-born for my transgression,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

He has showed you, O man, what is good;
and what does the LORD require of you
but to do justice,
and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God

Micah 6: 6-8

O Lord, we come before you at a time when our enemies rail,
when gleefully they plan how to destroy the things we have been taught by you to call good, and to enforce those things which you have named wrong as right. Be with us this election day, and may those who go to cast their ballots cast them as you would have us live, and not how the enemy would destroy us.

Teach us your ways, and help us do justice and love mercy, and walk humbly with you all the days of our lives.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous!
Praise befits the upright.
Praise the LORD with the lyre,
make melody to him with the harp of ten strings!
Sing to him a new song,
play skilfully on the strings,
with loud shouts.
For the word of the LORD is upright;
and all his work is done in faithfulness.

He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the steadfast love of the LORD.
By the word of the LORD the heavens were made,
and all their host by the breath of his mouth.
He gathered the waters of the sea as in a bottle;
he put the deeps in storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the LORD,
let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!
For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood forth.

The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nought;
he frustrates the plans of the peoples.
The counsel of the LORD stands for ever,
the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!

The LORD looks down from heaven,
he sees all the sons of men;
from where he sits enthroned
he looks forth on all the inhabitants of the earth,
he who fashions the hearts of them all,
and observes all their deeds.

A king is not saved by his great army;
a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.
The war horse is a vain hope for victory,
and by its great might it cannot save.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him,
on those who hope in his steadfast love,
that he may deliver their soul from death,
and keep them alive in famine.

Our soul waits for the LORD;
he is our help and shield.
Yea, our heart is glad in him,
because we trust in his holy name.
Let thy steadfast love, O LORD,
be upon us, even as we hope in thee.

Psalm 33

O Lord, let your will be done!
My Jesus, I trust in thee!

Amen.
