what are we going to do about Iran and when are we going to do it?

We are not going to get anyone else on board. The United Kingdom has said no. We cannot have Israel do it with us, not directly. The new Canadian PM doesn't have the backing to join a US alliance against Iran. Japan has Korea to worry about.

Let's face it, it's June 1940 and we are the Great Britian.

The question is, how much more of this nonsense are we going to take??

1) Iran is fueling much of the sectarian violence in Iraq.

2) They are supporting counterfitting of US money.

3) They are supporting Hisbollah.

4) They are loading up for the hidden Imam.

When and what is the US going to do??

Iran will start it. We expect them to.

If the UN doesn't impose sanctions, there will still be some type of sanctions without UN approval. Iran has said if sanctioned they will act as if they are at war with the West, because sanctions are an act of war.

Once they start the actual war, whether overt, conventional military action or terrorism or both, President Bush knows that he must respond to it. He has no choice.

And he will say, we tried diplomatic means until we ran out of them, and the world will see that he is correct.

Whether they want to admit it or not...

It is 1940 and Israel is Great Britain. Only this time we are not making the mistake we made then to try and be neutral in a conflict between good and evil.

Loads of baloney here. There is no comparison to Great Britain in 1940.

Read a little history if you think there is.

You have anything to support your statement? Here we have Israel, alone, getting strafed constantly, while the rest of the western world dithers in alleged neutrality. There are some differences sure, but it's a reasonable analogy. Alternatively, you can call Israel the modern version of 1938 Czechoslovakia, with the disputed territories representing the Sudetenland, that works too.

We are not going to get anyone else on board.

Round up the 11 million illegal mexicans and send them over there.

Let's see what Mossad comes up with. I hear they can be very creative in pest control matters.

Israel's troubles do not change the fact that Great Britain in 1940 is not an appropriate analogy. Nor is Iran Nazi Germany no matter how much it might like to be.

Czechoslovakia was betrayed when England and France refused to stop Germany from dismembering it. Nothing similiar has been done by Iran.

Great Britain was under Nazi air attacks in 1940. By then the Nazis had invaded Poland, taken over Austria, invaded Czechoslovakia, invaded France, invaded Norway, invaded Denmark, invaded Holland, invaded Belgium.

Iran couldn't invade my ass.

This is a stupid analogy and does not help in understanding the current or the past situation.

Your alternative is also inappropriate. Germany by 1938 had violated numerous provisions of the Versailles Treaty which was to control its conduct, Iran has not violated any treaty with its actions.

Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act? They're showing clear intentions to break that and very well may have already broken some of the fine points.
