What do you all think his sentence should be?
He should search for the real killer of Nicole.

This was a vanity post about what we wish his punishment would be. Get it?

BTW, your source there was a notorious Nazi. I don't quote them even if they are correct about something, e.g. "time of day", jet engines....

At least the dude apologized for them and that is more than most "fake people" do!So did Bill Clinton. People here were not as forgiving then.

He should be sent to my house, where he will perform many chores. ALWAYS FULLY CLOTHED! ( I know where these threads end up).

Fully clothed? It's been awfully hot around here the last couple of weeks. If he wants to be more comfortable, let him!!!
Seriously, he'll get what he deserves for the DUI. As for the stupid remarks, it's a sure bet that he regrets every word, and I hope he sees the light about his attitude. Frankly I am so sorry he gave such a big pile of ammunition to the people who've disliked him.

Again, the dehuminization prepared those peasants for the attacks.

Mel said he's had trouble with alcohol. Isn't that step 1?

Yours is the second time I've heard the argument that the JEWS drove poor Mel to drink. Unbelievable.

Hey, cops make mistakes. What he said would have been picked up by the video-sound equipment in the patrol car, and that makes mistakes less likely.

Wasn't using him as a source, but as an example.
He dehumanized and demonized the Jews in the mind of the German populace.

I don't care about some lawyer generated statement. If he admits that he is an alcoholic and goes to AA meetings, that's different.

Tell you what...if any of the information that was released and printed in every major publication and confirmed by Gibson is wrong, I'll make a public apology to you...ok?

I wonder what the reaction would have been if leading Jewish groups embraced him and said they knew he didn't mean it and that he is a good man. If there was some dumb hatred do you think it might have been changed?

....if what you say in a drunken stupor is illegal, then I think alot of FReepers are in for it......LOL......

Being a peasant in Eastern Europe was a pretty dull and brutal life. You could get the peasants to turn out to beat for animals in the woods for very little money, and even less encouragement.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, because it's huge...but that has to be the stupidest thing I've ever read on FreeRepublic.

I thought Mel was into booze long before "The Passion". In that case it'd been the Scots who drove him to drink, or maybe Australian skinheads.

The Communists used to send dissidents to "re-education" camps.
It seems more people in the US and this site lust to flog anybody who steps out of line. It's a bad trend.
The man apologized. Of course, threatening to "get" cops is a bad idea.
My two cents.
