MILWAUKEE, WI (AP) -- A 19-year-old police aide who had his fashionable jeans stolen off of him in front of his home helped police get the drop on three suspects in the case.
Police Capt. James Shepard said Sunday that the aide provided a vehicle description and remembered the assailants' license plate number after the incident about 12:35 a.m. Saturday.
According to police, two males got out of the vehicle, stole the aide's Girbaud jeans and robbed a friend who was with him.
But using the information the aide provided, Shepard said, police located the vehicle about 5 p.m. Saturday.
The 19-year-old driver said the vehicle was owned by an 18-year-old man, and police found the 18-year-old with a 17-year-old - who was wearing the stolen jeans.
All three were taken into custody, Shepard said.
He said the three were also suspected in an attempted robbery in the same area.
They stole the friend?!?!?!?!
I sure the perps will have a fun time in jail when it gets out they just wanted to get into another guy's pants.
