LOL!!
So here comes the Jim Rome ping list dude. Like you have any more clue than the political science flunky LOL. At least you kids are standing up for one another, have to when you always have your facts wrong though.
LOL
damn you're SO predictable
"here comes the Jim Rome pinglist dude"
LOL
what a moron!!!!!!
More occult signs to go with your blasphemous tagline. Go ahead and claim you're God now again too.
No thanks, I'll wait until AFTER you claim to be an expert on computer science...
Your dedication to the Jim Rome ping list is a perfect example of your shallowness. All you can do is insult and talk trash like that bozo, your "hero" LMAO!
Proving once again youre clueless,
You dont emulate an API you impliment it..
Hey--if you don't like Jim, don't listen to him...
"All you can do is insult and talk trash like that bozo"
Projection's a scary thing, eh?
No you emmulate windows by providing a compatible API framework for the app to talk to. You're as clueless as these punk kids apparently, probably not much older.
Again. Wine Is NOT an Emulator.
VMware, BasiliskII (68k Mac), PearPC (current PowerPC), SheepShaver (early PowerPC), and QEMU are emulators--they contain hardware simulation (including the appropriate processors) as well.
Wine only provides enough of an implementation to run Windows executables and programs on Linux. There isn't any hardware simulation in Wine.
LOL they're emulating windows software, not hardware. Do you even know the difference? LMAO at the idiocy on display.
It's apparent you don't.
An emulator simulates hardware. A compatibilty layer enables crossover between platforms of the same hardware (e.g. CxO between Linux host and Windows software)
Wine doesn't have hardware simulation. Therefore, it is not a true emulator.
As soon as I saw that this thread had more than 50 posts, I knew GE was in here stirring up more sh!+. What must it be like to live your life waiting to disrupt OSS threads? Such a shallow existence, sort of like a dung fly.
LMAO, it's a good thing you're a liberal arts major and not in engineering. "Hardware emulation" is only one type of emulation, there's also "software emulation", or even "hybrid". Search Yahoo for "software emulation" why don't cha, there's only 149,000 hits you somehow never heard of.
What part of "compatibility layer" do you not understand?
Even my twelve-year-old brother knows not only how to use Wine, but how it works...
Sheesh. RTFM, troll.
Or a Scientologist....
LOLOL
Maybe he's a bot!
We had a heck of a time earlier today...;)
Mike and I are thinking of "upping the dosage," if you get my drift...8^)
So let me guess, you two amatuers would like to claim there's no such thing as software emulation as well? LOL this is hilarious!
