Possibly taking a cue from the controversial film "Brokeback Mountain," marketers at the cable network TBS are broadcasting a promotion for this weekend's showing of two "Lord of the Rings" films that suggests characters Sam and Frodo are homosexual lovers.

WTH?
Well, it'd not be my favorite joke but anyone who has watched the rest of the clips knows this whole series of ads on TBS are tongue in cheek. This isn't a serious portrayal, it's a joke.
One of the other ones says He falls down a hill, gets stabbed, twice... and this is just the first part! "It sucks to be Frodo!"
I remember back when I read the Lord of the Rings in middle school how I thought Sam and Frodo were a little on the sweet side. I just shrugged it off as a British thing. To this day though, I can't hear a man with a "British" accent and not think he might be a bit of a "swish".
British chicks are cool though, they aren't into the anorexic look as much as American women. I've always thought straight teeth were overrated anyway.

Anyone wishing to be added to or removed from the Ring-Ping list, please don't hesitate to let me know.
It is just a joke...
Hobbits aren't gay. Now Elves, on the other hand...
Elves aren't gay either... I don't even think they ~have~ sex.
Ahem! I can assure you that Ralla is NOT gay. She may come across as butch, but she's just pissed-off.
I saw this clip I think... and yes, it was a bit obnoxious...
It is obnoxious :~D
I linked to all the clips at 7. I rather like a couple of them.
It would appear that WorldNetDaily's meter is broken.
Bummer.
Just hope that the cave troll isn't gay.
Re-edited movies trailers are all the rage! This is just tapping into an Internet fad. Now that we can edit movies so quickly and easily on our home computers, creative types are having fun with "new" movie trailers.
Very pro-war also.
Okay, it's obnoxious. But then it's TBS fercryinoutloud. And I have to admit LOL at the look on Gandalf's face...
I was more concerned with the one that referred to Galadriel as a "good witch."
