Sarandon calls Clinton a 'disappointment'

Actress Susan Sarandon, known for her liberal politics, says she's unhappy with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. "I find Hillary Clinton to be a great disappointment," Miss Sarandon told More magazine, for publication today. "She seems to be a very bright woman. I've met her. But she's lost her progressive following because of her caution and centrist approach. It bothers me when she voted for the war," Sarandon said.

Clinton voted in 2002 to authorize the Iraq war and is a member of the Senate Armed Forces Committee. The former first lady defended her vote in November, calling upon the U.S. to "finish what it started."

Sarandon said she considers Clinton's support for the war a damning decision.

"There were brave people who didn't [vote]. She's not worse than other politicians, but I hoped she would be better," Sarandon said. "What America is looking for is authentic people who want to go into public service because they believe strongly in something, not people who are trying to get elected."

In other news Sarandon says, " This is my kind of candidate."

She is quoted as saying, " Because I'm a big stupid loser with a suicidal death wish."

This is why Hillary will have a tough time getting the nomination. She hasn't been showing the wild eyed crazees her wild eyed crazy side nearly enough. I think she may have to publicly go down on a lesbian on stage to get the full support of the pervert community.

Appearances can be deceiving.

I'm going to give Ms. Sarandon's comments all the consideration they deserve should we have beef stew or chicken and dumplings for dinner tonight and would green beans or peas be better as a vegetable?

Hollyweird and daily kooks might have to look, but America doesn't. We already elected them.

"She seems to be a very bright woman...."

The left and the "liberals" always confuse sycophancies and glibness with intelligence.

--glib“ness n. 2. Marked by ease and fluency of speech or writing that often suggests or stems from insincerity, superficiality, or deceitfulness.

She needs to give up her "acting" -- and become the real deal herself.

For an actor/actress to decry the lack of "authentic" people is getting to be a bit much. But what would these mainstream media people know of this? They look up to these phonies as icons and role models of people they hope to be someday.

Whatever happened to the dignified days when, if they wanted media attention, they'd just take off their clothes and flash their breasts?

Now the media demands that they bash-Bush before they get any face time.
