MORRISSEY QUIZZED BY FBI (called Bush a terrorist, says US/UK aren't democracies)

Morrissey was questioned by the FBI and British intelligence after speaking out against Bush and Blair, the singer has revealed.

Mozza, a famous critic of the war in Iraq, has previously branded the US President a “terrorist”. He said: “The FBI and the Special Branch have investigated me and I’ve been interviewed and taped and so forth. They were trying to determine if I was a threat to the government, and similarly in England. But it didn’t take them very long to realise that I’m not.

“I don’t belong to any political groups,” he continued, “I don’t really say anything unless I’m asked directly and I don’t even demonstrate in public. I always assume that so-called authoritarian figures just assume that pop/rock music is slightly insane and an untouchable platform for the working classes to stand up and say something noticeable.

“My view is that neither England or America are democratic societies. You can’t really speak your mind and if you do you’re investigated.”

The UK hasn't shut down the British Islamonazis' annual celebration of the 9-11 attacks. This guy needs to eat some meat and get grounded in reality.

"This guy needs to eat some meat and get grounded in reality."

As well as the rest of the left and the "liberals"

They're all detached from reality. Or worse.

Well, no, the USA is NOT a democracy. It's a constitutional republic.

"You can’t really speak your mind and if you do you’re investigated.”

Why do I feel just the opposite, that the left never shuts up and are never called to account for their treason?

Wonder how much time they spent interviewing him before they realized that he couldn't say anything coherent.

Moz is awesome. I think he was investigated after "Margaret on the Guillotine" was released also.

Well... gotta give him creidt for being at least part right. Bush isn't a terrorist though.

The problem being of course that those in power are trying to turn us INTO a democracy. We are supposed to be a Republic.

Actually the left wants nothing of democracy. They want a socialist dictatorship.

They already say that we are too stupid to vote. That we vote for Bush when "no one" should. They say that the poor vote conservative in spite of their financial interests (because they are still Christian convervatives and don't accept homosexuality and abortion).

Every anarchist I've ever seen dreams of the "great revolution" overthrowing our constitutional form of government. And of course they always dream of themselves being the ones in power (not just people LIKE them). They have God complex and want to create Utopia.

Don't know. Could be. Has he toured since then?

I hear he lives in LA now (like Johnny Rotten Lydon).

British taxes are too high for British entertainers. They all seem to have left (the Rolling Stones are careful when they tour to limit their time in England).

Anyway, he's playing Oklahoma and Texas in March. Could have some connection to why he's getting press.

Also there is no date in the account. Maybe he was questioned then and he's trying to generate some press NOW for his new tour.

Well.. technically, I'm an anarchist. Not in the socialist "freedom from responsiblity for my actions" mold, but more in the Lysander Spooner/HL Menken model that mandates you take responsibility for EVERY action you do.

I'll settle for a Constitutional Republic though. ;-)
