Maria Sharapova is featured in the 2006 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which hit the newstands on Tuesday. Sharapova is making her first appearance in what is billed to be the most widely read issue of any magazine in the world.
The former world No.1 and current No.4 graces the cover of the swimsuit edition, on the lower right hand corner with the headline "Tennis Ace Maria Sharapova, As You've Never Seen Her."
She is the only athlete pictured in the magazine, along with 26 supermodels, including Rebecca Romijn, Petra Nemcova, Rachel Hunter, Elle Macpherson and Heidi Klum.
The photo shoots took place in eight locations around the world, with Sharapova conducting her photo shoot in Turks & Caicos.
The 2006 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue features over 500 photos of the 27 swimsuit models. Readers are treated to a 250-page whirlwind journey to some of the most exotic locations on the planet.

Way too much eye makeup. Guess they needed to tramp her up a bit.

Let me be the tenth to say it.... THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICTURES!I hear you, but I don't know how to post images. (No, don't try to explain, I am more than computer illiterate). I'm lucky I can type (poorly).
You can see the pictures by clicking on the red address under the title of the thread (I guess you know that already ;-) ).
This one is nice. They're all pretty good, but I don't like it when that try to make her look like a vamp or a little trashy. She's not.

Yes, she's legal.
By the way, back in the 50's when I was a little kid and my mother got really pissed at me for one reason or another, she would use your screen name to describe me.
LOL.

Not too far off from how I gave myself the moniker.
However, it was a girlfriend in the 80's that always told me I was incorrigible!

LOL.......... really, I'm 59 and I was trying to remember that word the other day. I was trying to remember what it was. All I knew was that she wasn't pleased at all when she said it.
So thanks a lot. As soon as I saw your name........ that was it, I remembered!
What a relief.

If my girlfriend was to hit me with a tennis racket, I probably wouldn't even feel it.
I think the thing makes these women so sexy is to look at them and know that if she hit you with her racket, it would take your head clean off.
I don't know where that thought came from, but....

My wife isn't quite that self-confident. Odd considering how attractive I think she is and I'm constantly pointing this out to her.
Go figure... ;-)
