Correct! The Dolphins defense the next year didn't allow a touchdown but the Redskins scored one on Garo Yepremian's unbelievably stupid fumble. The Ravens defense also didn't allow one as the Giants scored their's on a kickoff return.

27. Which was the first wild-card team to win the Super Bowl? The Raiders, I think. Or maybe they were the first wildcard team to make it the Super Bowl. Not sure about that.

first wild card to win?
New England in 2001....
To: Dog Gone
You are correct.
However in 1969 the AFL's playoff format was setup with the two division winners facing the opposite division's second place teams. The Chiefs finished second in the AFL west and went on to win the Super Bowl that year. They weren't officially called a wild card team but they didn't win the division either.

The Pats won the AFC East that year.

Foremann?
I know Deion Sanders one 2 rings with 2 different teams in back to back years.....it's probably some nameless journeyman :)
To: Perdogg
Very good. #36 could be a trap. Do they mean any type of coach or as a head coach?
To: MikeinIraq
Actually it was Matt Millen.
To: mainepatsfan
49ers...
Redskins...
who else?
Broncos?
To: MikeinIraq
He won two with the Raiders. Super Bowl's XV and XVIII.
To: mainepatsfan
let me think...
I would have been 2 years old then :)
To: MikeinIraq
The first Super Bowl I can vaguely remember is Super Bowl 18. I was 7.
To: mainepatsfan
the first one I really remember is well I can't remember the number now...
it was the Redskins-Broncos and the Redskins killed them...
To: MikeinIraq
That was 22. The Broncos led 10-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Redskins then proceeded to score five touchdowns in the second quarter. It was a pretty dull second half.
To: mainepatsfan
ya see?
that's where I'm at :)
