Yeah, I feel bad. They had been doing this for years and shooting into a wooded area with no problems. They follow my advice and bingo, problems.
There ya go!. It will leave a heck of a mark though if it comes down on someones head. :)
Anvil blowing! Of course!
(I don't want to tell you what I thought the FIRST time I read that post.)
Out here, when people shoot guns in the air, my neighbors shoot back.
I only use about a 100 grains of 4F, it won't even upend the anvil, but does lift it up a bit.
Yep....with the advent of NVG's the slap flare is a rare bear these days......I had a case of slap flares...."had" !
One of the kewl tewls for a commercial bang for the buck per se for celebration is the dragons breath 12 ga magnesium round.....about a 100 yard bolt of fire into the sky with no downrange hazard.....they don't feed well in a semi auto or pump so we pull out the over and unders / side by sides etc and light up the sky in the burbs !
SLB as to the simulators we quit ordering em when we figured out how to put em togeather with a 105 round and 30 and 55 gallon drum and assorted det cords, kinepak and C-4 with the odd millisecond delay cap here and there. With just a small pepsi jug filled with diesel and ivory. The ones we made were much better than the M142's .....
What can I say? >>
anchors away.
Next time light off firecrackers.
It is a wonder more of this does not occur.
Last night sounded like a war zone here in Rochester Hills, MI and woke me up.
Better in the ground than in the air.
"What can I say?"
Tell them to use firecrackers next year.
Boy, I saw one of those simulations once, and wow. There seemed to be a few drums out there, lit by occasional tracer fire...a beautiful night. Then Ka-POW!
All I can say is....:
Muttly want.
