Hey I resemble that remark !!
I broke a Mustang Pocketlite with Cor-Bon....but boy did they ever work well!!! Sounded like a 9 and very beautiful low flash at night. They did the job when I needed it done too, then the problem. Trigger won't reset. Colt wants it back. Got so annoyed I never even fixed it.
The museum collection grows.
[did you know that Capt. Meriwether Muttly, because of his "Corps of Discovery" journey to the pacific coast and back...after all the Buffalo hump steaks, fresh venison, every kind of wild game....found Beaver Tails, and especially the Natives' DOG to be the most delicious...not that I'm encouraging such cuisine....but to survive...hmmmmmm. Load up that .22.]
Of course, DEFENSE against dogs is quite different than sniping one for the pot. Especially armed and typing dogs....quite different. Perhaps tasty though...if a little on the sweet side, me expect.
It's been a coon's age since I had a beaver tail sammich.
Yes!
An' I haven't had a good Possum Jowl sammich since Granny made a passel of 'em fer' Jed n' me a' goin' huntin with.
I spent a thousand dollars on a Kimber two years ago... I'm still carrying my G30 everywhere I go if that tells you anything.
Use the Paco tool to enlarge the hollowpoint then if you have access to an old type glass syringe and a small bore needle, melt some vaseline in the syringe and fill the hollowpoint with the liquid vaseline. After it has set up, use it on the local vermin, let me know your results. (You will like the results).
Huh ?!?!? That'd be a mess wouldn't it ? Does the vaseline "harden" or just return to normal grease state ?
A pocket full of those would be less than ideal wouldn't it .....:o)
Yellow nailpolish is not only for painting Corvettes with, y' know. It's an excellent hardware item. It is available in five gallon drums, I believe.
Hi, Muttly, fuente:
Kimbers are very high-end, though they possess outstanding Ergonomics.
I'll stll stick with my 1999 Colt Commander in .45 ACP. Slightly smaller than a 1911A-1. No Tritium or silly bells and whistles to get in the way. The only addition has been an extended slide release.
It hits low and to the left, as most .45s do. With some adaptation and compensation, I can hit tight groupings all day long.
The only problem I've encountered was with a batch of 1960s era Mexian .45 ammo bought in bulk. One stovepipe and one bad primer.
Other than that: Superb performance.
Jack.
Yep
....it says 5 gallons.
During the hot summer I don't mess with these, but when the weather is cooler I just put them in a small .22 ammo box and load them in the CZ or the Remington 541T. They return to a grease state, Squantos, as you surmized, and there does seem to be an enhancement of hydrostatic interaction. The CCI MiniMags are interesting to work with.
Will look into it.....sod poodle prescription I spose !
Five gallon drum of yeller nail polish ?!?!? That's a big assed nail yer driving there Muttly !.......LOL !
(Thread still lives BTW)
I have done that....modified a coin pocket on my levi's to hold the seecamp....
:o)
Seen lots of vests made to hold colt lightnings and derringers along with the pushdagger of the day.....
I wore a holster center mass on my body armor for accessability with either hand. Coronado leather makes such clothing items that hide a handgun quite well.....
I think Eaker has a thong he wears for his colt saa.....
and of course theres always the old OSS string holster for those on the economy.......:o)
I'd appreciate hearing some of the usual expert FR gun commentary regarding Kimber's Ultra Carry II models.
Thanks.
Bump for GunPinions......
