Time to take it down a notch. I am hunting for a simple, lightweight, knitted scarf pattern. Any ideas?
What kind of knitting machine did you get?
The lionbrand.com has free patterns and I believe they have some scarves. You should check it out.
hmmm....
Multiple of 4 +2
slip 1st stitch, k across.
Row 2
s1 1, (p1,k1 yo, k2tog) across, k last stitch.
Row 3: s1, p across, but k the last stitch.
Repeat from row 1. until you get the length you want. End on repeat of row 1.
Makes a slightly lacey, interestingly textured pattern...but for use with solid colors, I think.
Sounds interesting. Do you have a link to a picture of how it is supposed to look?
I just invented it last night..I have about 3/4 an inch (two repeats) knitted in some fingering yarn...I don't recommend making in in fingering yarn though, unless you want to knit forever. I'm thinking about doing a larger version in some light worsted weight or DK. I'll have to knit a bigger swatch before I can post it.
