Guys & Gals,
I was just watching the live shot of Gheroldo (sp) walking that little ol lady he rescued to the helicopter or something -- a real photo op.
But as I was watching I noticed he was leading the poor old 15-year-old dog and (having had an old sick dog myself before) the dog acted like he was being dragged.
The poor old dog kept trying to pull back but they didn't notice, and finally dog flipped over on his back frantically.
Did anybody else see that? If they show it again watch closely before they edit that out, and they WILL once they catch it.
Ah, the wonders of live, 24-hour cable TV.
I think that's how people react to him too...did you see the baby the other night. LOL
There is absolutely no doubt that Geraldo is a jackass; this has been demonstrated countless times.
However, he genuinely loves our servicemen and women, and for me that covers a multitude of sins (other than giving away tactical battle plans in real time over the air).
I don't think that was him. I think that was the security guy walking the dog. The back of his shirt said security.
was the dog scared of the water or something?
I saw it. As the old lady was being walked to the helicopter the dog (rusty or dusty?) started to trip and then ultimately went on its side and was being dragged! The man leading the lady was holding all her stuff and he apparantly couldn't see the dog and didn't realize it was stoking out. That did not look promising for rusty.
Yes, I watched it but that wasn't Geraldo walking the dog, it was a police officer. But I did see the poor little pooch being dragged right before they cut away. I think as they got closer to the helicopter the dog was freaking and then finally just rolled onto his back. Neither the owner or the policeman seemed to notice.
I have to remind myself of that often
No, the dog is old and frail. I heard him say it was 15 years old. It looked like it might kill over any minute.
That reminded me of the scene in National Lampoons vacation when the dog was dragged by the car by Clark....
Jerry Rivers continues his frantic pace...
The name of the dog was Dusty and not Rusty as I stated above. Hopefully it was just freaking out with all the noise from the chopper and not having a stroke. But it was a 15yr old dog. Good grief.
Hey, let's not disrespect the guy by spelling his name wrong - it's
WHOREALDO
Geraldo Rivera: what a phony!
All I know was while watching it I kept thinking about my poodle Prissy, who was 13 years-old when she died in 2001. I cried for months and still think about her. She was my soulmate.
She had arthritus and heart disease and for five years before she died she was frail and I just cared for her like I would have a little old lady. She had the same issues and problems dealing with her sickness that humans do in that state, including sadness, grumpiness, etc.
I was so mad watching that poor little old dog on TV, he tried every way in the world to get his point across, including trying to just stop and make his point.
But alas, the photo op didn't take his feelings into consideration, and in the end he just fell over and they dragged him.
I figured they'd edit that out as soon as they figured out what had occurred.
I was screaming at the TV, "STOP! STOPPP! STOOOOP!!!!
It bothered me so much I sent an email to FNC asking them to do a follow-up on the poor pooch. That was awful to watch.
You may have seen it on O'Reilly tonight but in case you didn't Geraldo was on and he said that he received hundreds of e-mails asking about the lady and her old dog. He said both are fine and living in a home someplace. I think he said Georgia. I was sure that the dog was a goner.
Thanks for the update. Yes, I saw it too. I've been so curious!
I'd feel better if they could do a follow-up and I could see for myself that all was well, but I guess this report will have to do.
