The conspirators of Britian's Great Train Robbery of 1963. The planning and cunning involved in such a crime is impressive.

Very cool! I thought of him too, and (Lord please don't strike my down for this) but I've always felt kind of bad for him in his pre-ordained roll. It's funny/ironic because even Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he commited treason. Would we still have salvation were it not for Judas's role??

Wow, what an interesting question.I saved this in my favorites as there are so many criminals, both past and present I would love to talk to.
Another interesting question might be: What victim of a crime would you like to talk to?
A criminal, I think Ed Gein.
A victim, poor, poor Mary Joe Kopechne.

The mafia, scams, and heists have interested me. I was never really interested in murderers. I would like to interview Bugsy Segel; he was both a criminal and a victim.

Oh wow, what a creepy criminal you chose. I thought of the obvious, Ted Bundy & Charles Manson, but both books I read about them scared the life out of me, so I don't think I could get through an interview.
As for interviewing a victim, I think you're spot on!

Yep, and Teddy walked free because of his name. An average citizen would have been executed or received a life sentence.

Richard Nixon.
But seriously, I'd bet the odds on favorite of the American public would be Oswald.
IMHO, the truth from Oswald would have blown American politics sky high.

The fellow who broke into my car. It would be more of an a$$kicking than an interview though...

Love the tag, reminds me of my youth with 3 brothers at home, but make that 4 cases of coke.

What can I say, The Blues Brothers is one of my favourite films.

Lizzie Borden. Though Saucy Jack would be my second choice.
Or perhaps one of the holy trinity of howling nutcases: Albert Fish, Ed Gein or Jeffrey Daumer.

Lizzy Borden and if I could choose another, America's Jack the Ripper ( yes we had one and he murdered women in Chicago, about the same time as Jack was killing prostitutes in White Chapel ), Henry H. Holmes.

Lizzy Borden and if I could choose another, America's Jack the Ripper ( yes we had one and he murdered women in Chicago, about the same time as Jack was killing prostitutes in White Chapel ), Henry H. Holmes. Oh, good choice! Real name: Herman Mudgett. I'd give a good deal to know more about his murder castle, but contemporary reports are highly sensationalized and modern ones highly fictionalized.
Lizzie's house is a Bed and Breakfast now, by the way. Last time I checked, there was a two year waiting list to sleep in the room Abby got whacked in.

Thanks! :-)
I've been fascinated by Lizzie Borden and Jack the Ripper all my life. I've read every book and seen every movie and T.V. show about both of them and I've even driven by the Borden house. Yes, it is a B&B now, with a 2 year waiting list.
Shortly after moving to Chicago, 32 years ago, I discovered the bloody history of H.H. Holmes/Mudget and I was off on another investigation of a serial murderer. Have you read " DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY" and "TERROR DOCTOR" ? There's not a lot out about Holmes, who was more BLUE BEARD, than Ripper; but there have been a few T.V. shows.
