Well, the Passion was not created by "Hollywood" but at the expense of a man who really wanted to use his faith to create a movie most of Hollywood these days would never touch. Mel is not perfect. Neither am I. But he seems to stand up for what he believes.

"Passion of Christ = Good
Last Temptation of Christ = Bad "

Viagra and Christ - The second coming?

.....and you have a sponsor for the show.

Hi,

To respond to a few things:

1) Thanks to whoever linked me to the TV/movies section of this site but I wanted to start a discussion so going there would be futile.

2) I didn't get scared away, it's been two days since I've posted...i didn't realize i had to check it every minute. My apologies.

3) I COMPLETELY agree with the person who wrote that Hollywood and religion do not go together. I feel that indie flicks are better because they have less limitations and they are REAL, not fake.

I like flicks like Donnie Darko and Screen Door Jesus. I'm sure u guys have never heard of the latter movie but it's pretty interesting,..i suggest checking it out.

Going to "movies/tv" in chat is exactly where this discussion belonged (or under religion). Not in news as it is not news.

Perhaps if you had joined into some existing discussions before launching your own topic, you might have encountered a friendlier welcome.

Do you happen to watch Strong Medicine on Lifetime?

They just added a new doctor (Rickey Schroeder) to the show.

He is very gentle and ha prays in the OR prior to operations.

I was so pleased to see that.
