Somehow I suspect the direction the photo was taken makes a difference.

This one is driving me nuts. I cannot see that chalk image on the left as a flat drawing on the ground. A poster propped up, yes, but drawn out on the ground...whew, what an illusion.

I did a little internet search and found out the the artist's name is Julian Beevers. He is British and you can see more of his art on his website - here

It's far closer to art than what the National Endowment for the Arts gives people money for, like Maplethorpe.
