I agree, the Police withheld greatly... they could have ended his life.

I give the police some wiggle room. I probably do so because Yellowdoghunter and his ilk are pro-criminal. And I think we have too many alone on the Dem side of the aisle.

But what baffles me is that this story didn't make the Front Page of FreeRepublic.

I mean this is a big story. I might have to leave FreeRepublic and venture out more.

I actually think this story is a riot - the thug was finally given hard punishment. ( : (However some serious Prayer for the Officers family.)

I apologize for the honesty to all those that are Pro-Criminal.

For those who are ProCriminal; try living in the Ghetto (were I grew up) and you might change your opinions.

I mean -- I'm talking about living in a Ghetto filled with Crack Heads not pan handlers, I'm talking Cocaine, Crack and Meth filled neighborhoods. I'm talking about neighborhoods where people break into your house while you are home with lights on and the TV blaring.

I'm mean where gangs shoot up a Public Park or Swimming Pool on a Sunny Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Ghettos - Where if a thug makes eye contact with you, as you drive into a gas station, you immediately know that you might be car-jacked.

Most of you Pro-Criminal types here at FreeRepublic are "Upper Crust" people; please don't deny it.

You have a Pentuim 4 Desktop, as well probably a mobile Laptop, loaded with memory, 2 Ghz., Luxury cars, You are homebuyers in nice neighborhoods..... and your exposure to crime is reading about it here are FreeRep or witnessing road rage or a HOV violations.

YellowDog why are you ready to attack the Police? They just suffered a great loss.

I just saw on the news this morning that the naacp is now preparing for battle. Nothing new has come to light in regards to how he sustained his injuries ie: which ones came from his jump out the window versus his "struggle" with the police. We have all seen instances where the police have been a little overzealous in the attempt to subdue a suspect, however, and once again, in this particular situation, he shot and killed a police officer and jumped out a window to escape...I believe whatever injuries he suffered, whether it was from the jump or from the "struggle" with police, he deserves every scratch, bruise and bump.. He is still alive. Jimmy Allens is dead and his two daughters are without a father.

Get over yourself. I could hear sad violins while I was reading your post. If you lurk around this site and actually read peoples posts you'll see that most of us are not pro criminal.

"I might have to leave FreeRepublic and venture out more."

I agree, and don't forget your binky and baba.

That being said, I'm within an hours drive of where this happened. I speak to a-lot of "upper crust" (as you put it) blue collars who were laughing their ass's off when they saw this shitbag on TV. I'm still laughing. The cops used a great deal of restraint because this a-hole is still alive.

Chapin,

I wasn't calling you Pro-Criminal. As well, I think I'm "over myself". Thanks, what would I do without you.

Seriously, I just included you in the discussion. Keep the flames. The post was directed at YellowDog. Is he your friend? Is that why you took offense?

Anyhow, I'm not leaving FreeRep. ( : I'm here to stay with my Binky and Baba.

What is Binky and Baba? Sounds funny but too bad I don't know what that means.

"I could hear sad violins while I was reading your post."

No sad violins - It was actually laughter that this Thug's face was "massacred" (As his relative put it). ( :

I know most of you are not pro criminal however when YellowDog's tone sounds as if he wants to attack the Police, I feel the need to voice an opinion.

Btw, I'm upper crust so No Sad Violins and trust me I was ROTF LMAO, when I saw that guy's face. ( :

MotorMouth says the following

"I just saw on the news this morning that the naacp is now preparing for battle." Looks like another Mumia in the making.

So, To: the truly pro criminal; it seems that like all "law school students" you are looking for the exceptions in court cases and law - So much so that you forget there are dead victims about. Dead victims with devastated families.

Btw, no Sad Violins - just a steady resolve to end this pro criminal nonsense.

The word offense offends me, besides that my skin is thick.

"What is Binky and Baba? Sounds funny but too bad I don't know what that means."

Blanket and bottle, something a toddler would have.

Listen, I'm all for street justice which is why I think this guy should have been shot dead. If someone is in your house and you have to defend yourself you better make sure the perp is DEAD or he can come back to sue you. It's just to bad our court system and liberalism will give this putz the chance to walk or serve a short sentence or get money he doesnt deserve.

I,'m not going to attack yellowdog because he didn't say anything crazy. He just wants to know, like the rest of us what really happened.

Yeah, we are on the same side.

And I like that we are country of law, and that we have due process and I like being judged by peers and all.

But at the same time I struggle with this notion that liberalism has the upper hand in our Justice System. And victims of crime are rendered victims twice. They are ripped by the criminals and then by some liberal lawyer or judge.

I struggle with these ideas.

How many innocent "detectives" are killed, how many "Jessica Lungfords" are killed.

It seems that the proportion of victims that are "Twice victims" is exponentially higher than the proportion of innocent persons that would be falsely accused of a crime or that would be a victim, himself, of Police brutality.

Is being twice a victim the best Justice System? I don't know.

I think this bears repeating:

all "law school students" and most Lawyers look for the exceptions in court cases and law - They do this "so much so" that they forget the hundreds and thousands of dead victims strewn about. Dead victims with devastated families.

I appreciate the exchange and I'm really surprise this didn't make a bigger splash on FreeRepublic.

( : Maybe I should study some history of Justice systems to settle some of these issues that I think about...

What the hell happened to his face?

As someone who frequently spends time in Rhode Island, I can tell you with a fair degree of certainty....one should NOT dick with Providence cops.

And the alleged perp was being interviewed in the case of an elderly woman who had been stabbed, fatally if I recollect properly.

...fatally if I recollect properly.

Second one in two days at that time. Right in front of her own house.

a bit off topic, but I am not having to much fun in arguing at free republic. Mostly because, the vast majority of the members are conservative. Although I too am conservative, I think it would be sweet to go to a liberal site and debate. I mean there is no fun in having an "I agree with you" debate. Can anyone support this? Does anyone feel my pain?
