A New Week....Well, almost....
Will the Wall Street jitters continue??
Will, FINALLY, steps be taken to end the judicial log jam in the Senate??
Will the Dems, under Dr. Dean, begin to control their wacko elements??
Just a few questions to ponder....
We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Look at a couple of potential Popes in the running:
"...Cardinal Hummes is outspokenly anti-American and supports confiscation and redistribution of property belonging to the rich.
Likewise, Honduran Cardinal Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga supports Third World debt relief and the "equalizing" redistribution of global wealth."

The happenings in Rome are most impressive. Good morning to you. I just burned my mouth with some hot coffee, looks like I would learn by now, ultra hot coffee will do this.

Good Morning! Dawn hasn't cracked yet, but I'm guessing it's morning. LOL
To: Carolinamom
My clock tells me it is. I slept like a rock last night. Thought I would really feel the effects of horse flies as they wore me out yesterday, fixed them I did. Got some Skin so Soft, got a little muscle rub, mixed them together and nothing, I repeat, nothing came around me. Now, the way I smelled was a blast, like a big ole tube of Ben-Gay.

Man, this Dawn Patrol stuff is painful at first -- do you realize that the birds aren't even chirping yet????
Good Morning!!! ;-))
To: gulfcoast6
So you're saying that a generous rub-down of Ben Gay replaces Sominex as a sleep inducer? (typical dem illogical conclusion...haha)
To: The Raven
That Mark Steyn column will put a stitch in your sides from laughing!
As for AARP, I quit 'em, but they're still trying to get me to rejoin. No thanks.
To: Bitwhacker
Talking w/the Dawn Patrolers + coffe reduces the pain. Welcome and good morning to you. We wake up the birds around here.
To: Carolinamom
coffe = coffee........need more of it too!

Good Morning to the Dawn Patrol. Waiting on the coffee to kick in.
To: gulfcoast6
what else can you do on 7 acresI can see that I should tidy up the guestroom, and send you a plane ticket.
By the time we're done planting, when you combine Hubby's ground, My ground, 3 Son's ground, BIL's ground and all the custom planting we do our corn planter & grain drill will have covered 2000+ Acres between the two implements. I shudder to think what it's going to cost to put diesel fuel in the tractors to prepare and plant the ground.
To: Iowa Granny
With dawn "cracking" and coffee "kicking in", it's turning into an active Good Morning! Wasn't it Kipling who said the dawn "came up like thunder"?

Good morning.
I spent most of the yesterday putting in the bogs around the pond. We now have 2 on each side of the waterwheel/gristmill.
My muscles/joints ache from too much digging, but it was well worth it.

I'd love to see pics of it. Ben-Gay is gulfcoast6's proven solution for sore muscles.
GC, a testimonial from you about Ben-Gay's insect repellant properties might also get you a case of it from an appreciative insect spray company.
To: kassie
Thank you, kassie. It's been a difficult weekend. I really appreciate your expressions of concern.

When I as a kid my cousin had a section of land he grew cotton on and I would work for him driving tractors, etc. in the summers. I would even hoe the cotton, pick it, take it to the gin and I even learned to plow in a straight line. He and his wife raised me as my father was killed in a car wreck when I was 11 and he stepped in. I also saw him give it all up and go into the ministry. What a man he was.

We know of only the ones who have been caught and believe me, there are many out there who have not been caught. teach your children, grandchildren what to do if approached, be up front with them and tell them over and over and over. A grandchild or son or daughter will always be just that to us, they grow up but not in our minds, they are always that little 'cotton top' little boy, that sweet little girl,,,,,forever and ever to us.

I went to bed at 8 and got up at 430 and I really feel great. We braced the fence we are putting up and I cut some of my grass and gotta admit, dreamed of that new tractor we are looking out why, I would feel like a little boy in tall cotton (that is overwhelmed to you Yankees)
