I emailed the editor yesterday, including the fact that I am a writer/columnist in New England and gave her the info to check me out.

I figured it would get more of a head's up that way.

Can't say for certain that this gave her the "better check this out" impetus or not - but glad it's been written. That gives the story legitimacy with our contacts like Sean, Rush, FOX etc

Do you think the LaGrange local paper would run a story llike this on thier front page without checking it out? They'd get sued big time for slandering the Hospice, and all others concerned, not to mention be in very hot water with their readers.

Thanks, I'll take your word that this is a true story, although possibly not completely accurate.

My family had to make some hard decisions two years ago when my mother and her mother were seriously ill. Unfortunately they both died within a month of each other. I am grateful you were not involved in our decisions regarding their care.

In reply #16 I mentioned how my mom and grandma died within a month of each other. I never posted that on this forum before but I posted this comment to make a point. I am grateful no courts or media were interfering with my family's decisions. And no, we pulled no plugs or feeding tubes.

I have worked in the field for years and I can tell you they wouldn't take the chance in their home town. For one thing, the hospital and it's affiliate, the hospice = would sue their heads off. etc etc - but I won't bother you with anything that might upset your take on it.

So good so far - still a fight, I guess, to have her put back to Hospice, but my guess is, with all the light now on this case, so soon after Terri's plight, the hospital is not going to send her back to hospice without D*MN good evidence for it
