Sorry to see you go LC. I understand your reasons, and they're valid ones. I'm restricting myself to military threads from now on. There's just no reason to venture into anything else these days.
Feel free to drop by and weigh in on some of the military threads. Even Navy guys sometimes have something smart to contribute. ;-)

This is the third one I can recall in the past week. Too bad. Some of the old guard is leaving. They are right on some points, but a little too drastic for my taste right now. Good luck to them all, though.

God bless you. I will respect your decision, but would offer one last plea that you stay around here. I for one appreciate your insights and (sometimes snarky) comments and will consider FR a poorer place without you.

If you are concerned about the low signal to noise ratio on FR, keep in mind that by leaving FR, you will lower the "signal" even further, thus allowing the "noise" to be even more dominant.
FWIW, if you stick around, you will help improve the S/N ratio around here. Whatever you do, know that there are thousands of like-minded FReepers who share your values and concerns.
Every time a "true gentleman" departs FR, it is a loss for all of us. I beseech you to reconsider you decision.
