Wow right back at 'ya. I remembered your name from your "Help Me, I'm New" vanity post, which had some classic troll 'markings' in it, and just wrote you off in my mind as yet another of the DUmmie infiltrators, albeit a smarter one, since you're still here. So, I rattled off a quick, smart-a$$ed reply as I was running off to dinner. Now that I'm back, and saw your reply, I looked at your in-forum comments and realized I judged you too quickly. My bad. IIRC, Rush began his radio career in Rio Lindo (outside of Sacramento) He uses the term 'affectionately' when referring to things that he has to clarify or explain, for those who are confused.

Dune blew sand.
It was great, except for the "wierding modules", their vision of sardaukar, really gay ornithopters, and the declaration at the end that Paul IS the kwisatz haderach (which, actually, he wasn't) and a few dozen other details.
unfortunately, that really spun the gist of the whole idea of the story and, as i had read the book many times, that killed the whole movie for me.
If I had never read the book, I might have appreciated the movie on its own merits.
