Jenny Craig Inc., one of the nation's leading authorities on weight management, announced today that actress Kirstie Alley is the company's "star" client for 2005. In response to recent statements that she wants to lose the very weight that prompted her new Showtime series, "Fat Actress," Jenny Craig has offered Alley and ten of her closest friends the opportunity to participate in the program. Alley is currently working with her Jenny Craig consultants to lose weight and learn how to eat and live healthier. She will star in the company's advertising campaign featuring television commercials that begin airing January 10, 2005.

Why should Jennie lose weight? Heh heh heh...
Why should Jennie lose weight? Heh heh heh...
I guess she hasn't gotten rid of all of those evil body thetans weighing her down.
I see they have 3rd graders writing their headlines again...
I'm "thrilled", only because photos of her ugly butt at the grocery store checkout line are really icky.
Geeze! Women will do / believe anything to avoid the reality of weight loss.
EAT LESS, EXCERSISE MORE.
Do you ever wonder why you see fat people in aerobics / step / insert latest exercise fad here - but you never see fat runners?
If you want to be thin, run.
Maybe she'll have better luck than Monica
Heh heh heh...
I told my wife I have the 100% foolproof way to drop extra pounds: take up marathoning.
It seems to me she and her agent would have figured out how to capitalize on this by making a tragic screen play about the life altering sickeness of food additcion and her struggle to regain the hollywood physical image.
A few weeks of slavery in L. Ron's Sea Org should take the weight off quickly...
No, but I usually see alot of male runners in particular that look anorexic. Their bodies resemble that of prepubescent boys.
Mary looks simply amazing..She lost 200 lbs..
How'd she do that?
Divorced her husband..
She is such a BAG, but the other night watching her in the
interview with that guy I laughed in spite of myself. I know she is a liberal floozey with a lot of ditzy, skitzy ideas, but she is funny when she isn't being vulgar.
She found a way to bump start her failing career. Get fat (on purpose), get your name in the media, sign with a major weight loss corp. & get a healthy paycheck and commercial deal, lose the weight and get even more dedia attention.
Pretty smart if it works. Of course, she'll have to actually succeed at the weight loss thing...
hehe.. dedia = media
There is a full page pic of her in today's NY Post..don't know if it's on the website..but..not to be believed.
You are thinking very obtusely.
There are OTHER ways to lose weight in addition to healthy eating habits. People enjoy different ways to lose weight or stay in shape. When I go to the gym I see people on treadmills, lifting weights (some just for toning), spinning, riding the bike, swimming, aerobics, yoga classes, basketball, raquetball, etc.
Beside, I don't know how motivated a fatty is going to be after you just tie some Nike's on them, point down the street and say "Run." I believe brisk walking and some aerobics might be a more sensible way to start someone off on the path to weight loss and hopefully a healthier lifestyle.
I'm only speaking for myself but running would be the last form of exercise I would do. I'm not fat either.
My 50 year old, thin and fit husband told me in 1984 that he'd start running if he ever sees a runner who's smiling...he's still waiting!
I'm happy for Kirstie. FWIW, a woman can't be fat, successful and happy in this country while paying mind to the MSM. A woman shouldn't lose weight for a man either but we all do it anyway.

Sheesh, why doesn't she just hire a nutritionalist and a trainer?
You said it right! I lost 60+ pounds by walking and watching what I ate (counted calories...what a concept, huh?). That was over 5 years ago and the plan still works! Lesson learned was you can't eat like a pig, not exercise and expect to be thin. I HATE to run...just not built for it, but I absolutely LOVE to walk. Not unusual for me to walk 5-7 miles a day when the weathers nice.
I'd rather dance :)

she got lazy...too bad
