The real issue here is that a person is sick enough to steal a Pomeranian.
Who would do that? Only a person demented beyond help. This person needs to be locked up. Unless of course they stole it to feed their pet snake. Then that'd be alright.

However, every snarling Pomeranian I've known has had someone that loved it dearly. These people didn't deserve this.

Every parking lot in America does not have a camera. This one is in a large strip center and when I served on the Sugar Land 4B Corp. Sugarland Properties was talking about cameras but the 4B only agreed to retrofit the mall and I don't think any were ever installed. There may be on on the Randall's a few doors down, IF I have the correct PETCO in mind.

Don't take the flames too personally. While I think it's terrible someone's beloved pet is missing, I really have no love for those rat-like dogs. I think they only thing worse is a cat!!!

I'm sure they don't, and if they were freepers I wouldn't post them. However, I must say something is very strange about a website where people joke about "darwin award winners" all the time, most of whome were loved by someone, yet one can't joke about a ratty little dog that bites the heals of everyone except its owner.
BTW is this the PETCO on 6 near Randalls? The one on 59 next to Coney Island closed and I don't know of another.

They won't get much.... The market value of an adult pet dog is practically nothing, and that is all one can claim for it's loss. Value is at most the few hundred dollars they spent for it as a pup.
The best outcome to expect from the story is that the dog is found... returned or reported by someone with a conscience.
FWIW, I don't blame the store employee, who has never been under any obligation to double check ownership of dogs when people ask for them. So everyone, understand why next time, they will treat everyone with distrust.

I had to laugh out loud when I read this! I immediately thought about a house I visited earlier this year to set up a wireless computer network. I knocked on the door, and immediately hear much high pitched barking. When the door opened, there were quite a few Pomeranians all eyeing me! I asked my customer how many were here. She said, "14, I think." There were more in the computer room, that's where she had the nursing ones!
As I went back and forth through the house, several of them wanted a piece of my ankles. I imagine that there are a few folks on this thread that would like to leave you tied up in such a room, but you gave me a laugh!

Good. But this "real dog" stuff is silly. I have three Bichon Frises, considered by many to be "puss" dogs.
I could give a rat's ass. They're the best dogs I've ever had, and that includes Labs and Collies.
What's more, we have a mini-van to haul the Bichons around in.
No bumper stickers on it, either.
