I sure hope nobody takes a shot at Todd Rundgren. OK, his Utopia days were annoying, but Todd is absolutely amazing IMHO. His new album which came out April 9th titled "Liars" is astonishingly good. Anyone who enjoyed Todd's days of "Something, Anything" and "Hermitt of Mink Hollow" will love his new album.

I also grew up (well aged) in he 80's. I liked the eye candy of the times such as Debbi Gibson and Tifany, not really the music though.

Okay, embarrassing moment time...
Back in tenth grade, I hadn't gotten my DL yet. I found out on a Thursday morning that Debbie Gibson would be in concert in Atlanta the following Saturday. I begged my Sister (who rocks) to drive me there. She did. She also took me to see Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, KISS, John Cougar Mellencamp, and Richard Marx.

On the topic of Kung fu Fighting, if lousy corny movies get any attention, "Billy Jack" has got to win the crap celluloid award. Other than the discussion of him bein able to whoop his foot into the side of some jerks face, and nobody could stop him, being kinda cool, that movie launched an entire industry of films where someone else does your fighting for you. It pussified an entire generation of people who would wait for someone else to rescue them from victimhood.
And don't get me started on "Kung Fu" the television series.......A heroin addicted Chinese/American with a passion for masochism who's climbed to the status of a bum in pajamas in need of a haircut.

All you need to know about this song is that it was written as a Rod McEuan translation (from french)of a Jacques Brel folk song. The scary part is that it was recorded by the Beach Boys, but they wisely chose not to release it. Leading the little known Canadian Terry Jacks into total infamy.
