UCLA,and other UC campuses are starting to go down the toilet. What was once a bastion of critical thinking and searching for true things has become a playground for substandard scholarship, and using that scholarship to drive a “woke” agenda. Coddling people with delusional disorders is another losing prospect.

My accountant was teaching a basic accounting class at local junior college...He was flunking those who demonstrated that they couldn’t do the work.
His contract was not renewed

Sure, grade Accounting “leniently”. It’s not as if it’s complicated, and demands knowledge and accuracy...

I guess my accounting professor graded "leniently", lol. Top score was 150, 30 points per each question. They were all essay questions. A score of 90 earned a B plus.

The first sentence to usually two, sometimes three questions, was "based on the information you've given me, I cannot answer this question." Then you explained the "why".

I was not the greatest student, but I managed a B average in accounting from 73-76, for about 40 semester hours.

The highlight of my college career occurred in Jan 76. My dormmates and I were in the Gonzaga bookstore, buying our spring semester supplies. In walks the professor, comes over to me and says, "NHN, I'm proud of you, I want to shake your hand!" I knew I did well, but I scored a 143/150 on that test.

He was an incredible professor, and he never used numbers. I feel like I received an unofficial minor in Critical Thinking.

“He was one of the top damages experts in the country who was historically bringing in well over $1 million dollars a year and trending upwards when it happened,” Goldberg said.

OK

Any one of us FR commenters is worth ‘well over $1 million dollars’ as ‘top damages experts’!

I think that UCLA is going to have to pay the fired professor a lot of money. I think that their best hope will be to settle out of court for whatever amount that the professor asks for.

“.....The causes of action to be hashed out next month are breach of contract, retaliation, false light, and negligent interference with prospective earnings....Klein’s attorney, Steve Goldberg,.... the lion’s share of damages are based on the estimated loss of Klein’s expert witness practice income......“That practice went to ashes right after he was suspended,”...........”

I bet that as a professional expert witness, that professor Klein will make an excellent and formidable witness on his own behalf in the trial.

Also, I wonder what black accountants don’t need to be held to the same standards as accountant of other background. Maybe the IRS and SEC have different rules of accounting standards based on color?
