Good perspective.
I would have assumed the questions would be screened and scripted, but watching TC did not give that impression. He seemed extemporaneous and even repeated himself, once or twice. Tucker survived the history lesson to ask meaningful questions after politely listening. It appeared that a good portion of Tucker’s thought in questioning might have been directed toward, “Can I ask this and still get out of here?” or “Can I ask this and still get home?”
Putin appeared polished, as you would expect. I think he had a bit of a rosy view of how the Church faired under the Soviet Union. I don’t think it was the brotherhood of many faiths he described. I am glad that the Church is not so oppressed in Russia, now, as I believe it was in the past.
I was most interested in his views on China, which were not discussed until the end. Here, he seemed quite off the deep end, describing a peaceful and non-aggressive China which appears to have no bearing on the real world. He did mention the large border shared with China, their large numbers and the large trade between the two. I expect Putin has to portray positive relations with China. I view China as the Soviet Union’s old chained dog, whom one has to say nice things about, or get bitten.
My impression from Putin’s discussion of the Ukraine is that the Russian majority provinces are going to be taken by Russia. Putin expressed no interest in the borders of what is currently called Ukraine. I do think that Putin is going to break the West’s (Democrat/SeeEyeAay) involvement in Ukraine. He is not going to fix our own problems with our alphabet agencies or NATO.
Putin did his part to cover for our President Potato Head. Putin had met with the Zombie under full treatment, and there is simply no way he could not have appreciated what he saw. In the interview, however, Putin acted as though Potato Head was still in charge of his faculties.
Maybe it’s old KGB mantra, but Putin seemed most animated in his blame of SeeEyeAay activity, both in Ukraine and around the world.
