Citizens voting for representatives who will implement 1st world, enlightened rules and laws is no longer the world we live in.
We are on to the next thing where governments are as antiquated an idea as monarchies were in the 19th and 20th centuries. Governments will only perform the perfunctory roles of administration. The power behind the government (the global cartels and oligarchs) will determine which policies are implemented by the governments and how they are applied.
We have exited the era of reason and entered the era of force and total domination of the people.

I agree with your post except for one thing. We “lost” by default because we never even fought for it.
We sat home, watched football, went to work, paid taxes, and figured we could win this battle the easy way at the corrupt polls.
We were lazy and we were wrong.
We can no longer sit on the sidelines and hope that some knight in shining armor (i.e. Trump) comes to rescue us.
That's why I get so angry when I hear that some are still of the "trust the plan" mindset. There is no plan.

True. They aren’t going to do squat about this. They’re far to busy coming up with sound bites to achieve their primary — far above all other — goal of getting re-elected next year.
I am a refugee.
I have already moved twice in the past 10 years. I will likely need to keep moving every 5 years or so.
I do as much as I can to withdraw from society as much as possible. I still have kids in school so I can’t withdraw entirely but that will be a few years down the road.
Once I am completely backed into a corner and they keep coming, I can’t say what will happen.
