My bosses in the ‘80s had both been in Vietnam. They said the exact same thing about fighting in that war. Someone hsd to ask someone else in DC, “Mother may I?”

No, there won’t. Every six months someone says if such-and-such happens we’ll do blah blah blah. Something happens, and nobody does a thing except roll over.
Six months later, wash, rinse, repeat.
