“I see three possibilities:
1) The elections are rigged and voter input doesn’t really matter.
2) It’s not a two-party system and the GOP isn’t trying to win.
3) The GOP just makes bad choices because it’s unlucky.”

I see a fourth. The electorate is changing along with cultural and societal norms.
Voters under the age of 40 have a much different worldview than Boomers and Gen X. That gives them a different set of values. Those younger voters vote for their values.

And that is exactly why McConnell made his anti-abortion remarks right after roe v Wade was overturned. There were actually a few Republicans that the adosity to come out for the concept of a national ban on abortion. Stupid, stupid, stupid. But again, they are the stupid party. That’s their role within the uniparty. People should stop being surprised by this. You can’t fight your enemy until you understand your enemy.

Blah blah blah. The unit party consists of two sub parties: the evil party and the stupid party. They both play their roles well. It’s why I left the r party also known as the stupid party back in the middle of W’s second term.

How long are people going to be surprised by this sort of stuff. Once you understand their roles, everything makes sense.

Then whats the point of voting? Even if trump wins, this is who he is working against. One man working against an entire system. Its all enough to make one feel totally helpless.

Yep. I like to put it this way: best case scenario is that the election was stolen. Worst case scenario is that it wasn’t.

Correct. Democrats are questioned on issues while Republicans are forced to defend Trump.
DeSantis had the same problem but overcame by going after the Democrats that would hurt children.
DeSantis was out spent and had the media totally against him. He won in a landslide.
If Republicans don’t pick someone other than Trump we will lose the House, Senate and governors.

Exactly. That’s why I said for a decade that I feel like I’m living in Dr Zhivago but without the love triangle.

And here we are.

But that argument reveals a major issue: Keep Trump off the ballot and the MAGA movement doesn’t show up for elections.

That is the Money Shot. Each and every Angry Trumper here has made it clear: If Trump is not on the ballot, they will stay home. And even Biden is better than DeSantis.

Don’t worry, we’ll all attend a CPAC speech and get amped and excited again.

GOP has to run candidates that guarantee first trimester abortions or disappear.

And there’s the problem. If the GOP takes your advice, conservatives won’t support that.

The Republican Party Presides Over Yet Another Election Disaster...

The common denominator is Ronna McDaniel.

Really? So what does that say about Donald Trump who endorsed her and continues to support her?

The abortion issue is one of communications.

The Dims communicate the whole thing as a “right” and get voters to ignore the details. And in opposition even moderate GOP abortion proposals failed to get communicated as reasoable limits, and the GOP lets that reasonableness get drowned out slanderously as “extremist” and against “womens rights”.

It also does not hurt that in the most important races the Dims outspend the GOP - $$$ = ads and media attention.

“Where are the impeachments for Joe Biden, Merrick Garland or even Alejandro Mayorkas? “

Publicity on these scandals will be most effective closer to the election.

The RNC under McDaniel is atrocious at winning elections:
<><>GOP candidates have become worse over the last three cycles, not better.
<><>The party lost the House in a “blue wave” in 2018,
<><>lost the presidency to the political dinosaur Joe Biden in 2020,
<><>failed to win control of Congress that should have been a 2022 “red wave.”

No wonder conservative commentators are calling for her
to give it up and let somebody more serious take the helm.

Trump supports her b/c in 2016 he was losing the state
where she was Repub chair......she helped him win the state.

People really don’t get it.
The Democrats operate a Poltical Machine similar to the Mayor Daly Political Machine of Chicago.

The Republicans got no “machine” to counter another Political machine. In fact the Republican Party isn’t even a functioning Political Party. It’s got no leadership, no agenda, no consensus and no direction. It’s less a party than it is a country club for the dazed and confused.

The right hasn’t learned that abortion is an election loser. If they insist on putting it front and center at election time we are gonna lose big.

So keep losing election republicans.................

The country is literally burning and they continue to shine the light on the one thing that will energize democrats to vote. Smart. Real smart.....

Look at it this way.... Conservatives have principles and values. They will never concede on the issue of abortion. Even if it costs elections.

Much in the same way that Angry Trumpers are "Trump or bust" voters. No one else is even remotely acceptable. Even if that costs the election.

The more I watch the GOP I realize their pro-life stance was utter BS from Bush41 to the present, Trump being the exception. Trump won the abortion war to put it back in the states hands where it should rightfully have been and the GOP is clueless how to handle it and now wants to surrender to the pro-choice establishment.

If the GOP goes pro-choice, I’m done with them after a 40+ year run. I won’t vote to murder babies for political expediency.
