You don’t know what to believe about this situation, which is why it stinks IMO.
He ejected and left the autopilot on.
He ejected because of bad weather, even though he already had a wingman airborne.
He ejected right after takeoff, I’m not a pilot but would autopilot be switched on at takeoff.
The military did not know where the plane was for some period time, the military said it was the stealth ability of the plane that made it difficult to track, even though the plane was supposed to be operating with a transponder, either the transponder malfunctioned or was never turned on.
The story keeps changing as new details are released that only serve to create confusion.
We will keep reading and see what emerges next.
