Well, I liked both songs anyway. Crow did the all I wanna do song live at a concert I was at. Awesome. That being said, no, I don’t like her politics.
LOL!! Yeah, it’s something on the level of the Ukraine/Russia war right?
LOL!!
“getalife”
You first skippy.
CC
The Ukraine war? - heh! No kidding. Overall, the two songs are very different. A brief similar note sequence is hardly of consequence, and as others have note, happens often. It’d make more sense to complain that Quarterflash sometimes was “paralleling” Pat Benatar’s “feisty girl singer” image.
Crimea.
River.
Now, I better go feeling around for my eyes, because they seem to have rolled out of their sockets...
Stupid
Not even close...
"Of course, there are actually an infinite number of notes, but not very many that sound good together."
“As Tiny Tim used to say... ‘Eight notes, it’s only eight notes...”
Tiny Tim was a genius. A lot of people didn’t care for him, but he had an amazing catalog estimated at over 10,000 tunes memorized for immediate recall. That’s astounding!
His catalog, or repertoire extended back through Vaudeville, ragtime, “Jass”... an absolutely incredible gift.
About the Quarteflash and Benatar similarities, that whole era of music, (which I did enjoy even though I come from an earlier generation) had some nice fresh music and both those songs along with Loverboy and other groups - all sound similar... or at least the production did. It was the beat of the day, the driving rhythm, and sounded like half a dozen other outfits due to that guitar driven chunky rhythm.
Good stuff
There are only 12 notes in the chromatic scale. Complete originality is impossible.
= = =
My thoughts also.
But, now add in AI.
Will anything ever be ‘original’ again?
Lol. That’s awesome.
