Ultimately DeSantis did us all a favor by running in 2024 instead of 2028. In 2028 with Trump’s endorsement, he would have coasted to the nomination. By running in 2024, we all see what a lousy candidate and weak campaigner he really is. So we have just dodged a bullet for 2028 since he has no shot at that now.
If Rhonda Santi were MAGA he would happily have joined forces to help Trump win in 2024 and 2028 would have been his.
He has proven by running in 2024 that he is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Busch Crime Family, Inc.
None of this makes sense. Ron will only be 50 in 2028, he'll have 2 terms under his belt plus Congressional terms, would have been just perfect for 2028.

I’ve been on the DeSantis train since before he declared, but when he left out the FBI and CIA in his list of agencies he wanted to eliminate (and I think he’s lying about even those...Energy, Commerce, Education, The IRS - yeah right) he started to sour on me.
We won’t vote for them either. The game is up, the blinders have dropped. Things can’t ever go back and those dummies can’t grasp it.

I’d add that he’s a terrible campaigner that also took the anti-MAGA (with MAGA being the Republican base) position on the top issue of the day, which is wanting to end the Ukraine War.

Which shows ignorance. 3/4 of the DOE budget goes for nuclear weapons and basic science. Not to say there are not problem, but, part of the ineffectuality of the DOE in energy, in addition to woke and green, is that its funding in those areas is insubstantial politically driven pork that doesn't represent a pimple on private investment in these areas.

Why is it that, if his campaign falters for 2024, that means he has no shot in 2028?
History tells us, that many presidential nominees do not get the nomination the first time they run in primaries.
This is even true of a man almost all Freepers admire, Ronald Reagan.
Who knows what the political landscape will look like four years from now. It seems premature to me, to say DeSantis can not run in 2028 because of what’s going on with his campaign now.
When your only hope of winning is waiting for your opponent to be taken out through lawfare waged by the Media-Dem Party it is time to drop out and go back to being governor, which is after all, the job he was elected to do.
I think they know they won’t have enough margin-of-cheating to defeat Trump in 2024.
The will have to resort to keeping him off the ballot completely.

You’re thinking too much into this. DeSantis’s job was simply to prevent Trump from winning the White House again, either by defeating him in the Primaries, or weakening him enough to lose in November.
As to the Primary, the GOPe is so out of touch with its base that they thought flipping DeSantis to the pro-World War 3 position on Ukraine would help him (or at least not hurt him). It was that move that started the process of taking DeSantis from about 10 points behind Trump to near 40 points behind Trump and DeSantis is now having to battle Vivek for the #2 position.
Yes, any and *every* means will be used to stop him. He/we are fighting the global elite, and as they become weak, they also become more dangerous.
DeSantis’s position is that Ukraine is a distraction from China.
