The allegation is the suspect, Nima Momeni, stabbed Lee to death while giving Lee a ride to Lee's hotel. The ride was from the apartment of Khazar Momeni (below), the suspect's married sister. Lee and friend had been in the company of Khazar Momeni, the previous evening, and Lee had apparently been quizzed by the suspect, over the telephone, about the appropriateness of Lee's relationship with Khazar Momeni, including whether she was using drugs. Lee appeared at her apartment about 12:30 AM, only to find that her brother, the suspect, was there also -- presumably to insure that nothing "inappropriate" transpired. Lee and the suspect left in the suspect's BMW about 2:00 AM, and Lee from stab wounds the suspect inflicted with a kitchen knife.

So Nima’s married sister Khazar was “allegedly” having an extra marital affair with Bob Lee, who is also I think married. I would think that if it were “sudden jihad syndrome” Nima would have killed his sister – an honor killing or both his sister and her alleged lover.

Interestingly Nima’s sister Khazar and her husband showed up at Nima’s arraignment and seem to be supporting his innocence. Strange.
