We can say this for Trump: He isn’t dull.

In addition to other things...:)

Thanks for the link. Every American should see that video.

At about 1:25, is that video of Ashli Babbitt being murdered by Michael Byrd? It moves by so quickly that I can't tell.

First a look back. Trump could have pardoned them before leaving office. This is just a comment, hindsight is 20-20. It’s not a criticism because I’m sure no one (not Trump, not Tucker Carlson, not me) could have guessed how badly the J6 prisoners would be treated. And as a side note, the Sixth Amendment guarantees a speedy trial. I’m guessing that the J6 prisoners have lawyers. Why haven’t these lawyers brought up the 6A? Perhaps Trump should look into that.

No, he couldn't have. They hadn't even been arrested yet. Also, The Turtle threatened him that if he pardoned Snowden or Assange or presumably any of these defendants - what few had been arrested before he left office - he McConnell could get enough Republicans to go along with Shampeachment II. Trump's hands were tied.

First of all, I want to thank you for your civil reply. Too often Trump threads (and Ukraine threads) degenerate into insult matches. What’s the value in that?

> They hadn’t even been arrested yet. <

A person does not have to be arrested to be pardoned. Recall that in 1977 Carter issued a blanket pardon to all Vietnam War draft dodgers. Most of them had not yet been arrested.

> Also, The Turtle threatened him [Trump] ... <

I had never considered that. However, given how the Deep Swamp operates, I find that quite plausible. So I might have to rethink my original comments.

By the way, this is an example of how valuable a civil FR conversation is. Instead of yelling at me, you presented an effective counter-argument. And so you taught a fellow Freeper something.

Donald Trump is one of the first presidents in a LONG time to ever lose money from his presidency.

He sacrificed more than just a share of it. I’ve witnessed this man take hits that no other man would take. I predict soon the (rather quiet) war on his kids will flow into Barron’s life as well.

The moment he turns 18 and does anything, I mean anything, people are going to ruin his life. I believe that Barron and Trumps grandkids are the only reason he did what he did - To save their lives.

We’re along for that ride.

Ditto.

We’ve lived lived through that amazingly great administration, and now are living through the most amazingly treacherous administration. I never expected either in my lifetime.

DeSantis should’ve followed the Bongino Rule and waited to learn the truth before opening his yap. The “violence and rioting” were instigated by the Feds.

I’ve said the same re our TN Senators who voted to confirm the election after the ruckus. Gullible, shallow imbeciles. Most of us KNEW the patriots would not do such a thing, but our Senators are so out of touch with their constituents that they fell for an obvious false flag.

DeSantis did, too. With leaders like these, we are so screwed.

The “violence and rioting” were instigated by the Feds.

Then why are so many who were there pleading guilty?

I'm still searching for the truth, I'm just tired of one side saying they are ALL innocent, and the other side saying they are ALL guilty, when the truth is somewhere in the middle, but each side is trying to say it's one or the other so they can be their pawns in the fight.

“Then why are so many who were there pleading guilty?”

For the same reason the “Qanon Shaman” pled guilty — their lawyers — in bed with the Feds — are steering them that way. The details of that particular case tell us everything we need to know.

So what do we really know about the Qanon Shaman’s case? All I saw from Tucker was about 10 minutes of footage before any of the actual action broke out. He was up there for many hours, of course.

Maybe you looked only at the first version on this thread. Take a look at this one. Quite a lot of effort and talent went into the visuals.

Now that is a fact. He’s also got a knack for putting into practice “a good tactic is one that pleases your people” as Alinsky put it.

LOL, it is as if he has a knob. No markings on it. Just a dial. He can reach down at will and turn it, and it only turns the screeching of the Left upwards. Never downwards.

“So what do we really know about the Qanon Shaman’s case?”

He was telling people to go home. He believed he was helping the cops — didn’t know they were setting him up. His prayer thanked God for the cops, and the fact they had let the people inside.

His first attorney never bothered to look at the tapes even though they were available to him.

There so much more.

Well according to the judge he lied under oath. He said he was only ever let into the capital but then the prosecutors showed footage of him in a group smashing through the doors. He was originally charged with multiple crimes, but his lawyer was able to get them all reduced to just one - interference of a public proceeding - so his lawyer got his perjury and other charges dropped therefore he doesn’t sound completely incompetent. Bottom line he plead guilty. He read a letter to the court saying he admits to breaking the law and was wrong to do it.

I actually found many videos in youtube of people who pled guilty and now blame Trump. So as I said it’s a mixed bag, of all different types of people, and circumstance. Not all are guilty, but some are for sure, and are on video assaulting police. It’s time to quit lumping them all into one group, of either guilty or innocent.
