I always wondered how they could come up with those clock times.
😆
Does anybody really know what time it is?….
(I think somebody said somebody in Chicago does).

Try setting the clock 90 minutes past midnight and see if The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists destructs.

When I was in college at the University of Chicago, I actually visited the nearby “Bulletin of Atomic Scientists”. In those days, “Nuclear Winter” was the big scare, and Reagan was president.
Some pals and I got the idea of stealing the clock and setting the hands backward to prevent Armageddon.
Well, when I visited the Bulletin, I was VERY disappointed. There wasn’t “a” clock, there were several. Worse, all of the clocks ONLY show the last three hours on the dial. So you could have an omnipotent genie destroy all nuclear weapons, but it would still be at least 9 PM. The clocks themselves were pretty cheaply made. So, the idea to save the world by stealing the clock and setting the hands back was scuttled.
Up until that point, the clock had relentlessly moved in only one direction, closer to doom. Years later, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the folks actually moved the hands back a few minutes themselves! Which meant that it never was a clock at all in any normal sense.

I think it's about 25 (or 6) to 4.

See my post #5. It is impossible to set the clock 90 minutes past midnight. There is no "1" and there is no "6". It ends at Midnight.

I’ve been analyzing the speech of people who describe themselves as pacifists in various ways. Many of them are not what they present themselves to be but rather an opposite. More info later.

“I think it’s about 25 (or 6) to 4.”
That line puzzled me since my childhood.
Finally, at a concert in Houston a few years back, Chicago was the lead band with the Doobie Brothers as the warm up act. Robert Lamm told the story of that lyric.
Now it makes all the sense in the world.

"If you don’t believe Rachel, maybe you’ll listen to Jerry Brown, former California governor and executive chair of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. Jerry is not an atomic scientist, but he did nuke California." Ouch, that's going to leave a mark !
