There may be some merit in every black person moving to SF and California.
With the SF Reparations Committee report running some 20 pages, the article must, of necessity, limit itself to the most outrageous “recommendations.”
But omitted details do matter. For example, other articles note the conditions for the $5 million payment require the black applicant to be able to prove continuous residence in SF for the last 13 years. That article went on to state committee analysts estimated there were 90k persons living in SF that might meet the criteria.
Frankly, the “recommendations” read more like the opening position of the injured party in a civil lawsuit: demand the Sun, the Moon , and the stars. You know you won’t get it but even a fraction of it will still be a lot.
The only way to stop this abuse is to take political power away from the elected officials and their appointees who are enabling it and to constrain their successors in their power to appropriate taxes to fund such schemes.
Do the qualification requirements seem to include “being on the reparations committee”

That right there is the operative word, “IF”. But Sam Francisco DOES NOT have that money so this entire charade is pointless.

Not in any of the articles I have read. However…
All the study committee members are either liberal/left black academics or politicians. In other words, professional race hustlers.
In addition, the recommendations include establishment of a taxpayer-funded government office to oversee implementation of the reparations regime. Sounds like a custom-made employment opportunity for members of the now-disbanded study committee. They are available, know the issues, and the salaries are probably pretty generous.

Like I’ve posted before but it’s still true. went a saw my son when he lived in Danville Va. it was the last Capitol of the south when Richmond fell. They had a museum and in it they had displays of slave owners. Guess what??
There were HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of black slave owners. By now there descendants must be on the 1000s or even 10s of thousands. Reparation is so stupid and evil.
